Executive Coaches
Executive Coaching FAQs
Executive coaching is ideal for high-powered executives who want to increase their performance, develop their management skills, or overcome obstacles in areas such as communication, time management, public speaking, strategic planning, confidence, or work-life balance. An executive coach will expose blind spots and challenge the executive to achieve greater levels of success.
Benefits of Executive Coaching
Company Benefits - An executive’s company can benefit from Executive Coaching by developing corporate culture, improving productivity, increasing profits, strengthening communication, and boosting company morale.
Individual Benefits - An individual can benefit from Executive Coaching by improving in the areas of leadership, communication, time management, decision making, and work-life balance.
What is an executive coach?
A common misconception about executive coaches is that they must be experts in your field. While many executive coaches possess executive leadership knowledge and experience, they need not be experts in your industry or specific role to deliver quality coaching services.
Many executives use their coach as a sounding board, a thinking partner, and an independent third-party who helps them stay focused on the most important parts of the business. In coaching, the learning and the change that people experience is much more impactful and sustainable when the coachee has come up with it on their own – when they discover it from within.
How does executive coaching work?
In 2016, reports produced by Google outlined their research into “what makes a team effective at Google”. They discovered that the most important factor that characterized the most effective teams was a term called “psychological safety” - a measure of how safe team members feel to take risks and feel vulnerable in front of each other. Psychological safety is greatly impacted by the performance of executives and leaders as evidenced by the fact that it’s common for companies to have both excellent and poor performing teams.
Having matched thousands of coaches with clients, the common thread among almost all of the executive coaching engagements Noomii has managed, is that the coaching improves psychological safety within the teams that the executives participate in.
When psychological safety is improved, all other business metrics follow, such as:
- Higher employee engagement
- Less employee turn-over
- More innovation and effective problem solving
- Increased revenue
What’s the ROI of executive coaching?
In a 2009 study conducted by the International Coach Federation, respondents of the study claimed to gain, on average, a 700% return on investment (ROI).
I’m overwhelmed and struggle to handle the demands of my role. Can an executive coach help me?
