About Me
I've had a 20 year successful career as a technology executive before transitioning to coaching. Throughout my first career, I neglected my relationships and found them to be difficult, confusing, and frustrating. I used to say "love is like the flu - it's bad enough it happens every few years, why would anyone go looking for it?!"
After completing the Accomplishment Coaches' Training Program, I declared myself to have relationships as my north star. I believe our relationships are both the source of our biggest joy, as well as our biggest misery, and I'm making it my mission to help people achieve happy relationships, whether at home, work, friends, family members, and most importantly, yourself.
It all starts from recognizing our own emotions -- being aware of them, and being able to name them. Once we're able to do that, we can recognize that all emotions stem from unmet needs. If we're then able to articulate our unmet needs in a healthy, non-violent way to our partners, and our partners are willing to meet those needs, the relationship flourishes. All relationship problems stem from one or both partners being either unaware, unwilling, or unable to meet the other's needs, often due to one or both partners not having the skills to communicate their needs in a healthy way.
After deeply studying relationships and practicing these in my own life, I've seen a complete transformation in my relationship to relationships and my overall joy. These are skills that can be learned by anyone. Relationships don't have to be a source of misery.
