Attract what you want, what you really really want

The Law of attraction - you are what you think, Lemons and glasses
Lemons and reading glasses
Hello Lois,
Living in the warm humid sunny Southeast coast, it’s super conducive to growing lemons, oranges, limes, grapefruits….
And I just love me some fresh squeezed lemon in my iced tea. Also, I love cooking with lemons (baked salmon with olive oil, some seasoning, and a few slices of lemon on top. Yummy!)
Basically, I adore citrus. Give me an orange, a grapefruit, a lemon…. I’m a happy camper! The smell of them is so refreshing and invigorating and I love the taste of them, too.
I am totally getting off track …. what I’m getting around to saying is that I’ve always wanted to grow my own citrus fruit, and more specifically I wanted to start with a lemon tree.
And not just any lemon tree, it had to be the brand Meyers, which to me are the best.
This year, like I have done every single year, I called around looking for lemon trees. I tried locally, then online. No luck. Supply must be low and demand high.
I let go of how I was going to get a lemon tree, and just knew somehow I would get one. I pictured the lemon tree full of bright yellow fruit growing in the big sunny spot in our front yard.
Now another story (hang in there, I promise they will be tied together soon.)
I had bought an inexpensive four pack of low strength cat eye frame plastic reading glasses. The four-pack had one brown, one black, one purple and one blue pair.
To make sure I was never without (and not to mistake an 8 for a 3!) I have them scattered in various places around the house.
Not meaning to play favorites, I absolutely loved the blue pair the best.
Call me nostalgic.
It reminded me of when I was eight years old and had my first pair of glasses ever. They were powder blue plastic cat eye glasses.
Yes, I’ve come full circle!
One day I could not find the powder blue pair or readers.
Searching everywhere, the car, the house, the garage, every purse I had… I still couldn’t find them. Finally, I just let go of the search because I had plenty of other reading glasses.
Yet, in my heart, I really wanted my blue pair.
Now, to tie these two different stories together…
This week, a lady posted on our local neighborhood website that she was giving away a fully mature Meyers lemon tree.
The only catch is – you had to dig it up from her yard and take it away yourself.
Being a bit late to her post, I already saw several neighbors who had posted saying that they wanted her lemon tree.
Still, I thought, I have nothing to lose.
So, I messaged her and said, “I know that there are a few other people ahead of me for your lemon tree. If for some reason none of them work out, please know that I am super interested and don’t mind digging it up and taking it out of your yard.”
Then I let that go and planned to head out of the house to drop a bag of donations off at a local charity. For grins, I looked through the bag, and low and behold my blue cat eye reading glasses were in there.
Within a few minutes, a text message came through and it read, “If you still want it, the Meyers lemon tree is yours. Oh, and I live ten minutes from you.”
Wow!
Was it just good karma?
Was it coincidence?
Was it just good luck ?
Or was it I knew I loved my blue cat eye glasses, and I knew (someday) that I’d have a Meyer lemon tree?
What I do know is that we are all energy.
“Quantum physics states that mass and energy are interchangeable, and consequently that mass is merely a manifestation of energy. This means that everything, including humans, is simply energy stored in mass particle form…”
What we think, say, feel, do… is all energy.
The law of attraction says that like attracts like.
Positive energy (thoughts, feeling, actions…) = positive outcomes.
What you put out, you attract back.
Does the law of attraction work all the time?
Who knows?
In the end, I have a lemon tree and my blue cat eye reading glasses.
You are what you think-
