About Me

Steve has an MA in education, Kathy's MA is in child and family studies. We have extensive experience in working with engaged couples and in marriage education. But our most important experience is that of our own longterm marriage. We have been parents, lost jobs, moved, and dealt with many of life's complications. But we can honestly say that our relationship has only grown stronger over time. We want to share with you what we have learned both through our education and through our own experience.
We look to researchers like Scott Stanley for data about relationships, and to practitioners like Sue Johnson and the Gottmans for the "how to's" of applying the research. You will learn about the to do's and the not to do's that will help your relationship survive and thrive.
