How to spice up your romantic relationship.
Saturday is on the horizon and today is the time to prepare, mind, body, and spirit, for that romantic moment. What happened to spontaneity? Sometimes people are too tired, overwhelmed, dehydrated, constipated, etc. to feel like that special moment. Today is the day to prepare, make a play date for the kids and the dog, for Sexy Saturday.
Some people have their minds on sex more often than others. Hopefully, you will be able to take your mind off of work, finances, and etc. while getting into the groove of being prepared for the romantic part of your life. This is part of your balancing act. It is not only good for you; it should be good for your partner too. Your timing must be right. You might even have to have a discussion. What will make you and your partner be in sync to make this intimate time magic?
Getting the body ready is part of the process. If you are not into creating a new life right now, you must be prepared with contraceptives. You should know what you and your partner prefer. So, if you are out of the preferred condoms, this is the time to go out for that purchase, and maybe flowers and a card. Have you had a bowel movement today? Few things mess up the mood more than when gas, or worse, makes an unexpected embarrassing appearance during intimacy. The military spells it out best with the three S, S**t, Shower, and Shave. If you or your partner like hair in certain spots, you can skip that part of shaving. All jokes aside, it takes time to be ready for this special moment.
Having Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” playing in the background may, or may not, be the energy that you are aiming for this spectacular time. Keep in mind that we are spiritual beings and to be in balance we must satisfy that part of us too. Create the atmosphere and ask your spirit for guidance in creating heaven for you and your partner.
Clear your sacred space with sage or frankincense, then add a sweet scent such as lavender to create a relaxing atmosphere for the olfactory system. Turning on some “love music” for the auditory system attunes the mind, body, and spirit to the culmination of what certainly will be a delightful occasion.
Lots of times people get in a rut for whatever reason, and their hygiene is not up to par. Over the long haul it can physically destroy them and it can destroy a romantic relationship. So, work out to firm that body up, put together that romantic playlist, and be clean, inside and out, for the best performance, now and in the future, in the boudoir.
