I describe why this relationship is important, how it ripples into all of your relationships and give you ways to create a healthy relationship w Self
The most important relationship we can have is a healthy relationship with our self. This IS the foundation for everything else in your life, and IS the way to bring happiness and fulfillment into your life.
My expertise is relationship coaching and I love working with those who are interesting in creating a loving relationship with “self.” The ripple effect of this is outstanding, bringing clarity and awareness which allows one to make right choice, bringing insights which allows one to be in a creative space for new, fun projects to move forth in growth, bringing love into all of our relationships. If cannot love ourselves, we cannot love others in a healthy way.
Loving yourself means valuing yourself. First: You are perfect as you are. You have strengths and you have flaws and that is perfectly fine. Accept everything about you.
Here are some guidelines for creating a loving, healthy relationship with Self:
1. Take care of your needs. And let your body be your guide. Feed yourself well and I mean real food. Not from a box, from a drive through. Cooking for yourself can be fun! Be in the moment, in the NOW when you are in the kitchen. Even while washing dishes, notice every sparkle that comes off of the soap, the forks and spoons. It can be a Joyful experience. Bring yourself present to everything you do.
2. Do what brings you joy. Make your first priority YOU. In big ways and small ways. A walk in the park, a dance class, a chocolate bar. Every day. Celebrate your self.
3. What is really going on inside? This is Awareness and some do it through meditation. In fact this IS the reason for meditation, to see what is really going on inside. But meditation is not required. What IS required is for you to OBSERVE yourself. Take a step back and become an observer of yourself as much as possible. The results will be incredible!
You attract to you what you are like – this is a Natural Universal Law. Love yourself and you will attract others who love themselves and will have the same capacity to love you.
I hope this helps a LOT !
