Have you ever been in a funk? Been so caught up in the depths of despair that you just can’t seem to crawl out?
Don’t worry, I know many others that have been there. I know it’s hard, but you too can get out of this. You can’t make the changes you want in your life if you have that negative attitude. You can’t learn to love, feel free, grow personally without freeing yourself from the depths of despair.
It may seem hard, but it’s a lot easier than you think. All you have to do is take the energy you feed to your negative thoughts and use that to help others. When you connect to someone with need, you learn to manage stress better. That connection leads to compassion, and ends with love. And as I’ve said before, love is truly the answer to so many of our problems. I have seen wonderful things happen to so many people once they focus their negativity towards selflessness. To see others happy is a reflection of your power of transformation. From that you can see what is possible.
If you happen to help someone less fortunate, you get to see that you’ve probably taken some things for granted. Go on, open your eyes, you have it better than you think. Helping others allows the possibilities for you to see how many blessings you really do have.
Once you start helping others, take note of how you feel. Sometimes it can be something simple as being able to sleep better. It can progress onto reaching out to more people, forming more relationships, getting that promotion you’ve always wanted.
Start with something simple. Help that lady cross the street. Volunteer at your local animal shelter. Hug your loved ones. That’s all it takes.
