Are You Empowered?

What it means to be empowered and how an Empowerment Coach can help you get there. From Stephani's blog at www.solascoaching.com.
I often get asked about being an Empowerment Coach. Some people say, “Is that like a life coach?” and the simple answer is yes, I’m a life coach. But I went a step further and specialized in Empowerment Coaching. Some people ask me what an Empowerment Coach does and again the simple answer is that I help women become empowered. But people are curious about my specialty niche so they almost always ask me what kind of women hire an empowerment coach.
I work with women who generally feel that they have their professional lives in order but the rest just isn’t working. I often hear slight variations of (or the following exact words!) “Everyone at work thinks I have it all together but I’m really a disaster.” Disaster is usually an overstatement and everyone thinks they are the worst disaster ever but it’s generally the same very fixable issues! I work with women who are constantly going from one ‘jerk’ guy to another and not sure why they always end up with said jerks. I work with women who have experienced the end of long-term relationships and get stuck in bitterness or regret and aren’t sure how to let go and move forward. I coach women who exhaust themselves trying to please everyone around them but make themselves unhappy and resentful in the process and I work with women who struggle with insecurity and tell themselves “I can’t” a lot. Obviously my goal as a professional coach is to help you move through those issues and become an empowered woman.
Empowered women are happy and strong and secure in themselves. Empowered women make decisions that honour themselves and are affirming, not self-destructive. They love hard but never sacrifice their own well-being or self-respect for that love. They are secure in their strengths and abilities, so have no need to belittle others. They are confident enough to stand up for themselves, they say no when necessary, and they go after what they want because they believe in themselves.
I want women to feel empowered because once you realize your worth and personal power, your potential is unlimited. Have you ever woken up in the morning, raring to go and believing the world is your oyster? Have you ever gone to bed thinking, “Today was fantastic, I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings”? That’s almost a daily occurrence with empowered people and I often think of how wonderful the world would be if there were more genuinely happy, secure people in it.
So I hope that you’re empowered, but if you’re not quite there yet, I hope that you’re at least working towards your happiness. If I can help you in anyway, I’m just an email or Facebook message away! Until next time…
Live your best life
