About Me

As a prior victim of child abuse and neglect, I have come to learn how to use my own strategies to overcome the strongholds that have paralyzed me in my youth. I finally learned how to heal, but unfortunately these skills do not come naturally and I had to learn the hard way that our mental health system is broken. I want my clients to understand that I can relate as a mother and a former “problem child” who overcame serious obstacles.
There is a proven technique, based on thirty years of research that works on building healthy thoughts, breaking down the old negative, self-defeating ones at the core of our issues (EVERYBODY has issues!!). Basically, I teach others that we all have the power within ourselves to create the life that we desire through a structural (relatively simple) program that dismantles the lies that have held you hostage for years.
Only when parents feel mentally fit, guiding their children consistently and effectively will come naturally. Modeling appropriate behavior as a parent requires a serious commitment and too often children are mislabeled as Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) due to poor behavior, when in fact they could be reacting to feelings of sadness or embarrassment from untaught life-skills. Therefore, I work with parents of toddlers before they fall victim to this system, parents along with their teens who desire better communication and family cohesion, as well as individuals who have grown up in dysfunctional households and now struggle to cope and achieve success. Overall, my program aims to improve the entire family dynamic by helping families and preventing others from taking the wrong path in life but I also work with individuals too.
