About Me
I’m Dr. Jo, PsyD—a former clinical psychologist, embodiment educator, author, and yoga and meditation teacher. I spent approximately 13 years practicing clinical psychology before expanding my work beyond traditional approaches to create a more integrative, body-centered way of supporting women.
Today, I help self-aware women who may understand themselves intellectually but still feel disconnected from their bodies, voices, desires, or inner wisdom. Many of the women I work with are accomplished, thoughtful, and capable—and yet find themselves asking, “When did I lose myself?”
My work brings together my background in psychology with embodiment, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, somatic practices, and years of teaching and lived experience.
I am the founder of TulaSoul and creator of **Empowered · Embodied · Enlightened™**, a framework designed to help women reclaim their voices, return to their bodies, and remember their own wisdom.
Our work may explore boundaries, self-trust, body image, relationships, life transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, identity, purpose, sensuality, or the experience of beginning again. Rather than focusing only on insight, we explore how change can be practiced and lived in everyday life.
My approach is collaborative rather than hierarchical. I don’t believe another person holds the answers to your life. My role is to help you listen more deeply for your own.
In addition to my PsyD and clinical background, I am an E-RYT 500/YACEP yoga teacher, meditation teacher, Pilates instructor, author, and prize-winning poet.
I especially enjoy working with women in midlife and women moving through significant personal or professional transitions.
My guiding philosophy is simple:
**Reclaim your voice. Return to your body. Remember your own wisdom.**

VerifiedI just was in awe of her ability to just let me start talking about myself and my past and what I want to change. Then every time I went back into stuff to much, stuck or spoke negatively about my life... she simply, without judgment, give me the opportunities (examples) to rethink my thoughts, misunderstandings & false beliefs about the trials and hardships I've lived. Giving me positive validations about "my story and my junk" that has kept me from truly loving myself, she showed me ways to except "my truth" by rewriting my false negative feeling's into new beginnings of loving myself again. Her requests are not comfortable sometimes. However, providing an extremely easy and "safe" invitation to saying YES to LOVE again.... TO MYSELF. I am unexpectedly extremely truly HOPEFUL once again. The unimaginable loss and disparity of my hopelessness, I felt for years, has truly shifted working with such an amazing experienced Life Coach I'd like to end with this, "Jo" I have known for many years, of course with no sense of hope, that I so desperately needed and wanted to see true self again.

VerifiedWhen I was matched with Dr. Jo and read her bio, everything she had experience with and was interested in matched with everything I was looking for in a coach! Weve had a few sessions so far, and I have never felt so comfortable with a therapist/coach right off the bat. I can tell she cares about me and my thoughts/feelings. She listens well, is able to give good advice and guidance. She doesnt just sugarcoat things and is real with me. Its nice to have a non-judgmental space to process and dove deeper into who I am and who I want to become. I am so thankful we connected, and Im looking forward to working with her long term!

If I could give Dr. Jo Lamm a million stars, I would without hesitation. She's absolutely amazing: kind, brilliant, compassionate, funny, authentic, and reliable. She creates a safe space for sharing, listens and communicates well, and is an all-encompassing healer: body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Jo is insightful and experienced, and I trust my wellbeing to her. She allows me to process and share my thoughts at my own pace. I highly recommend her.

Ive been working with Jo for the past 6 months. Jo is very present during the sessions, she is a great listener and always gives a positive perspective to whatever it is we are discussing. Shes friendly and I feel that she is always on my side, always looking for my best interest and helping me listen to my own voice. Shes also very relatable and draws from her experience which makes the whole interaction all the more humane. I always look forward to our sessions but even when life is tough and I cant attend sessions she stays available via email. What I love the most about her however is how non-judgemental she is. She knows changing habits and patterns is a process and doesnt judge relapses or redundant thoughts. Great experience overall and will continue to work with her.
