About Me
Dr. Diane Banic is a licensed psychologist specializing in leadership development, succession planning, coaching and team building. EDR’s services focus on enhancing the effectiveness of the total organization as a system. She takes a holistic approach to her work, viewing leadership as an inside out process of personal growth and learning. She works to align structure, talent and systems with corporate vision and business goals.
Diane’s work experience has varied over her career; bring a unique mix of skills and talents to her work in leadership. She began her career at General Motors in the areas of Human Resources and Organizational Development. She led Professional Development for American Commercial Lines, LLC from 1996 to 2003. She directed Learning and Leadership Development at Churchill Downs, Inc from 2004 to 2006. She served as an instructor at Kent State University, Cuyahoga Community College, Spalding University, University of Louisville and Alliant University.
Her most recent work has involved various aspects of organizational effectiveness including: leadership coaching, executive development, assessment/selection, succession planning and the design of corporate universities. During her career, she has served as an executive coach, led team building sessions with various corporations and implemented strategies for successful people integration during mergers and acquisitions. Clients include: American Commercial Lines, LLC, Mid-Park Industries, St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital, Jewish Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Rushford Center, Zeochem Corporation, Algood Food Company, Apriss Corporation, Atria Senior Living, Chemtrusion Corporation, US Coal, Our Lady of Peace and Churchill Downs, Inc.
Diane received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Psychology from Kent State University and her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. She has served on the board for the March of Dimes and the Urban League. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Organizational Development Network, and the American Society for Training and Development. Diane is also actively involved with the thoroughbred horse industry in Kentucky.
