About Me
As an executive leader, if you're grappling with stagnant growth, declining productivity, inter-team conflicts, underperformance from key staff, inaccurate forecasts, escalating customer demands, and tough negotiations, you know the immense pressure of steering your organization toward success.
I empower executive team members and senior managers in commercial roles to lead strategic transformations and achieve breakthrough goals aligned with their company's mission. If you're facing any of the above challenges, it's likely time to evolve your leadership to meet these critical needs.
With over 20 years of experience in multinational corporations like Campbell's Co., Saputo Inc., Mars Inc., and Smooth Commerce, I have a track record of energizing commercial efforts and building high-performance teams in roles such as Chief Commercial Officer and VP Sales. For the past 13 years, I've served as a partner and certified master coach (since January 2016) at Lighthouse NINE Group, providing seasoned guidance in industries ranging from Consumer-Packaged Goods to Pharma and Medical Devices to Insurance and SaaS.
My approach combines real-life experience with robust executive coaching practices, and mentorship with a management consultant’s toolkit. As your partner, I will help you create a high-performing organization characterized by a sharp focus on common goals, robust communication, and agile action. Together, we will establish a leadership rhythm that delivers predictable, consistent results, enhancing your confidence and effectiveness.
As a management consultant, I have developed a broad domain of expertise directing our Strategies for Growth, and Sales Force Effectiveness practices at Lighthouse NINE and joining forces with my partners in the areas of High-Performance Teams, Change Management, Organizational Design, and Leadership Development. I apply all this expertise to my executive coaching engagements. Additionally, I am certified in several assessment tools

I've had the opportunity to work with Dave as my executive coach for years. During this time, we're tackled many problems/opportunities together. It's been very beneficial to have a trusted advisor / sounding board in my corner. Discussions and work have ranged from: Building High Performing Team, Shaping Customer Segmentation Strategy, Organization Design, Charter and Value Creation, and Behaviors / Mindset shifts. Dave's experience, and ability to challenge me and my team's perspectives is what sets him apart from other coaches I've had in my career. The outcomes have unlocked further profitable growth for the organization and continue to help me advance in my career. Thanks, Dave!

We were looking to setup a strategic approach for growth in our business and wanted an outside perspective to help guide us to success. This included an internal focus around team building, leadership, and profitability as well as an external lens to pricing structure, prospect prioritization and selling. Dave offers patient urgency and leads through an example you want to follow. He set a framework to determine where to focus and how to approach key negotiations. This has allowed for confidence to build in me and the team as well as the ability to develop the structure we needed to organize ourselves for growth.

I've worked with Dave over several years, through two major periods in my career. The first when I became the VP of Sales and Dave's experience in similar roles at large CPG's was very valuable. Dave was great at working with me to tease out my vision and strategy for Sales in way that felt authentic to me. He doesn't impose his views/strategies but he helps you evolve, challenge and improve your own ideas. Some of the tools and approaches we used to articulate the strategy and determine the skill set of the team to execute that strategy I still use today. The 2nd major project with Dave was when I became the VPGM for Canada and we needed to create a new strategic vision and plan for the full region, and this would be done working with our entire leadership team not just one on one. What I really liked about that process and in working with Dave was the time and energy spent on the iterations of the plan, the check ins with other stakeholders and the dissection of details and multiple options. It wasn't about speed, it was about the quality and again authenticity of the Strategy. Sometimes you want to jump to solve, and one of the things I learned from Dave was the value of the process. The ability to build the layers and details to support a strategy, an AOP, even a pitch to a customer or internal management was an invaluable lesson. Dave showed he was vested in not only the deliverable of a strategy or end project , but in how you as a person came out of the process as well. I enjoyed the coaching sessions with Dave as his investment in the process and the work ensured that I did the work as well. The "homework" or progress he expected in between check ins was something I wanted to complete because I wanted to match the involvement an engagement he showed. Personalities won't always mesh when working with a coach but I found the respect and investment Dave showed me was something I appreciated and I felt he had an interest in my success over say just the output of the project.
