About Me
"Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are." – Michael Forbes
I didn’t start out with a fancy degree or a clear plan. In fact, my career kicked off scrubbing floors in a restaurant as an Au Pair in Germany. But I’ve always believed in one thing: showing up and giving my best, no matter the job. That’s how I went from working as a care assistant in a nursing home to landing a role at Airbnb—just because I picked up German along the way.
At Airbnb, I learned quickly that it’s not about where you start; it’s about how you take on each opportunity. I went from answering customer queries to diving deep into data and quality analytics, all because I kept saying “yes” to new challenges, even when they scared me.
But here’s where it gets real: I thought working hard would be enough. It wasn’t. After being passed over for a promotion, I was told, “Nobody knows who you are.” It hit me hard, but it taught me something crucial: you’ve got to make your work visible. You’ve got to let people see what you bring to the table.
Since then, I’ve been focused on working smart, building relationships, and making sure I’m seen. And guess what? It worked. Promotions followed, my salary climbed, and I built a reputation as someone who delivers.
So, why does this matter to you?
Because I’ve been where you are—wondering how to navigate this whole career thing. And now, I want to share what I’ve learned.
TL;DR:
You don’t need the perfect path—just the right approach and support. Let’s figure it out together.

Id been in customer service for years but wanted to transition into project management. I had no idea how to make that leap or even where to start. Amy helped me identify transferable skills and rework my resume to highlight them. We practiced interview questions that focused on my experience managing teams and handling projects in my old role, which I hadnt thought to emphasise before. After a few sessions, I felt way more confident, and I ended up landing an entry-level project management role. Amy made what felt impossible seem totally achievable.

I always felt I had it in me to lead, but I didnt know how to step up or show others I was ready. Amy helped me see what I was already bringing to the table and gave me real, practical ways to start leading right where I was. With her support, I took on projects, started speaking up more, and before I knew it, my team was looking to me for guidance. Amys belief in me and her tips on how to show up as a leader changed everythingI finally feel like Im on the path Ive been aiming for.

Negotiating my salary always gave me anxiety, and I used to just take whatever was offered. Amy showed me how to prepare, know my value, and approach the conversation with confidence. When the time came, I felt so much more in control, and it workedI actually got more than Id hoped for. It was amazing to walk into that meeting with tools that I knew worked. Shes truly changed how I approach my career.

I dont have a degree, and for the longest time, I thought that was what kept me from moving up. Amy helped me see that my experience and skills mattered just as much. We worked on re-framing my resume and LinkedIn profile to really showcase what I bring to the table. She even helped me practice how to talk about my work confidently in meetings. Thanks to her support, I ended up landing a role that felt out of reach before, and now I actually feel like I belong there. Im so glad I had her in my corner.
