About Me
My journey to coaching has been a circuitous one, informed by my personal experiences as much as my professional ones. Crowned as gifted in my childhood, I recognized in adulthood that I also am ADHD.* With the diagnosis has come incredible clarity, including acceptance of my challenges and celebration of my unique strengths: comfort in my own skin.
I am committed to creating nonjudgmental space for clients to explore, grow, and create their own unique ways of working more effectively. I bring to coaching a keen understanding of organizational culture, effective teams, and neurodiversity in the workplace.
I am an International Coaching Federation certified coach (ACC) and a former strategy advisor in the philanthropic sector. I hold an M.A. in sociology from Harvard University and a B.A. in psychology and sociology from Indiana University. Through the peak of the pandemic, I dedicated three years to bolstering the community morale at a global software consultancy, as well as promoting inclusive and effective team practices in hybrid, remote, and distributed contexts.
My coaching is informed by my conscious dance and meditation practices. I count Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Thich Nhat Hanh, Parker Palmer, and Sharon Salzberg among the teachers from whom I draw insight and inspiration.
I am a member of ICF, the International Coaching Federation, CHADD, and the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA).
*ADHD is much more and different than the name and popular culture suggest. It is not an illness, so we do not "have" ADHD. Also, the strengths and challenges of this neurodivergence go well beyond the stereotypes of distraction and disorganization to affect all aspects of our work lives.

If youre neurospicy and looking for coaching support, talk to Amy. I think youll feel understood in a rare and valuable way. If youre neurotypical and looking for a coach also talk to Amy. Coaching conversations with her are thrilling. Her twice exceptional mind is part of what makes her a uniquely gifted coach and listener. I dont throw words like gifted around - I believe that most skills can be acquired with practice - but Amy really is exceptional (and has also honed her gift with practice and training!).Coaching has an amazing ability to both help you be more yourself and deeply change the ways you think and act. Amy is a wonderful coach who allows incredible amount of space for self-generated insights. Her approach and the feelings of the calls is subtle, but the impact is so incredibly deep. Amy held me throughout my discovery of a late ADHD diagnosis in a way that I will always cherish. She brings her own neuro-spiciness to her work but doesn't allow it to overshadow whatever you're figuring out in your own world. Everyone should work with Amy!
