What's guilt gonna give ya?

Simple steps to get guilt out of your life and really live.
Nothing. Nada. Zippola
Guilt gives you a false sense of “doing something”, “going somewhere”
When, in reality you’re spinning your wheels and going nowhere.
It’s a waste of time, effort and energy. And, quite frankly, it doesn’t do squat for getting you where you really want to go.
Take the time you would normally spend on guilt and do anything else you enjoy doing
- mediate
- pray
- walk
- laugh
- figure out the lesson the guilt is offering and get on with it
- play
- run
- stare at a sunset and revel in the greatness of that simple act
- eat something nummy
- fly a kite
- figure out what you do want and how to get it
- ACT…ACT…ACT on something that IS what you want
There are a gazillion things better for than guilt. And I’ve learned that one the hard one. The really hard way.
I’ve spent years ripping myself to shreds for things I shoulda done, coulda done, oughta have done. Wanna see the scars on my back (smile)?
And you know what? Not one minute of that lashing changed a damned thing that happened in the past, even if it was 1 bloody minute ago.
So stop it! Stop the guilt. Stop the shame. Stop the martydom. None of them will bring you what your heart wants.
Figure that one out…figure out what your heart wants. And go after it!
And if you need hand figuring out the “what’s next” or “what do I want instead”…send me an email and I’ll help you get where you want to go. One of my gynormously big passions is helping people figure out what they do want and partner with them to get it.
Cheers: To a world filled people _selfish _enough to recognize and live their gifts, and _selfless _enough to share them with the world!
