Thoughts Become Things

Let's become an objective observer with our thoughts, as we monitor and filter them throughout the day leaving toxic thinking behind.
Many of us have heard the old adage “thoughts become things”, but what does it mean exactly? Ever since “The Secret” debuted on Netflix, we have all been lead to believe that we can ask, believe and receive something based on our thoughts. It takes more than just thinking to alter our reality, so let’s dive into the facts that help shape our tomorrow.
We have sixty to eighty thousand thoughts per day traversing our brain matter and altering our feelings, thinking, and future positioning on the planet. More than 80% of these thoughts don’t actually benefit us. They position themselves as self sabotaging tools or units that debilitate our inspiration and create self doubt. They stop us from moving forward with our delicious ideas, and eventually imprison us from becoming our greatest potential.
We must spend a great deal of energy each day monitoring and filtering our thoughts, so we can own them, instead of them owning us. So before we can manifest something we desire, we must resonate on a higher plane of being in order to create a solid vibration or frequency of light. When thoughts present themselves, we have a choice to digest them as truth, or discard them as toxic. When a thought presents itself as a belittling liar of self doubt, why do we decide to digest it and allow it to alter our mood? What is it about our thoughts that powerfully creep in, and take over our mind? We pretend that we have nothing to do with the creation of these thoughts, yet it is our mind that creates them throughout the day. The seeds of self doubt, hate, happiness, sadness and everything in between are created with our minds. We create anxiety with our thoughts, and the body powerfully reacts to our thinking which changes our physical state of being. Thoughts are powerful. If we think we are in danger, our body reacts, excretes adrenaline, and positions itself in fight or flight mode simply by acting out based on a thought.
The good news is we absolutely do have control over our thinking, and we can take a more objective look at our thoughts as they fly in throughout the day. If a thought presents itself as something negative or untrue, you could choose to deflect it, and not digest it. Deflecting a thought simply means not acknowledging it as truth, and dismissing it or discarding it. The best thing to do in this moment, is simply move onto another thought, something that brings you pleasure, or creates a better state of being.
It’s great to manifest what we desire, but our thoughts need to resonate with a positive charge. We can manifest all day about something, but if we retain the negativity that lives within our core, manifesting all day accomplishes very little. We need to believe we are worthy of receiving the gift, and that all things are possible. We can’t shift our thinking based on conditions that happen throughout the day, but we can retain a core belief about our situation and our existence. We retain and resonate in a mind set that benefits us as our thoughts align with our being, and support the ways in which we manifest.
So thoughts absolutely do become things. Thoughts can make us ill, create unwanted anxiety, and can shape our future with the flick of a thought. Let’s take a moment to be an objective observer, and monitor our thoughts as they present themselves daily. A happier, healthier you will emerge by doing a little work in this arena. Eventually toxic thinking will become a thing of the past, as you enjoy a life filled with authenticity and truth, as you continue to manifest and vibrate on a higher frequency.
