My mission is to help business owners create balanced lives that include personal and professional success that feels really good for them!
My mission is to help business owners create balanced lives that include personal and professional success that feels really good for them!
I started my business because I absolutely love talking with people about the concept of integrating our work into our lives, and our lives into our work. I want to live a balanced life, and so do most people I know. Why do we not learn this skill in our schools?
I always want to create my life in a way that is sustainable physically, emotionally and spiritually. I find it is easy to help other people do this, because I am incredibly interested in this way of being in the world. While I do not have all the answers, I love asking the questions that help business owners find their own answers. Infinite creative energy exists around your personal mission. Tapping into that creativity is my mission.
Many of my clients talk to me about feeling overwhelmed, burnt out and stressed. I completely understand all of those feelings! Often there are simple solutions to be found and systems that are easy to implement which business owners find incredibly helpful. I get very excited when we find creative solutions to those tough, persistent problems. Sometimes the overwhelm and burnout persists beyond the defined problems, and that is when we need to look deeper.
I love to observe and listen to my clients talk about why they are doing the work that they do. I am always curious to know what people feel their personal mission is in the world. I want to know the mission of your business and how it works with your personal mission.
My own mission is always evolving, and I am living the most current version of it all of the time. It is so helpful to back away from our lives sometimes and look at the bigger picture. Connect with your greater vision and make sure you are working towards the most current expression of your mission.
Regardless of our job titles, I believe that if our work is not is alignment with our mission, it will not last or continue in a good way. And if our mission is not clear, it may be hard for us to feel gratified or successful.
I have been listening to a popular song, “Airplanes” by b.o.b. and I am fixated on this lyric, “Nowadays we rappin’ to stay relevant…” He asks, “Somebody take me back to days..” where he was passionate about his music, connected to his mission, etc. In your business, do you talk about the “good, old days?” What was different then? What prevents today from the the best day ever? Seriously, find that out as soon as possible.
Those lyrics point me to examine why I am doing what I am doing. It is easy to get hysterical about being relevant and trendy. We obsess about what others are doing or not doing, about keeping up, etc. I say do not take action from that place.
Make your business decisions from an authentic place, based on your mission. If you do not know what your mission is, find out! If you cannot connect with your current mission, define a new one for yourself and for your business.
The truth is that when we feel depleted, out of juice, or on the edge; then it is time to connect back to who we are and why we are here. What is your mission? How are you staying connected to you mission? What creative ways can you find to stay connected?
I welcome all your answers and responses!
