We All Have A Sense of Purpose

Let's ask that difficult question: what is our purpose as we move swiftly through the labyrinth we call Planet Earth.
I am sure all of us at one time or another had someone ask us what our purpose is here on the planet as we look a bit perplexed and confused trying to come up with some lofty answer that sounds guru enough to pass for an uplifting sentence or two in order to get rid of the elephant in the room. Few of us think about our sense of purpose or why we are, as we fumble through our phone, attend meetings, and try to juggle our fast paced life as we reach towards building our own nirvana.
Technology has been a wonderful addition to the Digital Age, but it has also hindered our ability to be present and to engage socially without thumbing through our phones or being distracted by bings and swish sounds that might be an urgent calling that steals our present moment away. When was the last time you looked up into the sky to see the shape of clouds pass by, and suddenly you notice one looks like a dog, and the other an angel flying on the wind. These moments are not just for children, but are for everyone to enjoy and wonder in amazement how beautifully our planet has been constructed and designed. I wonder in amazement daily trying to understand that we exist on a big blue marble that is floating in space and it orbits around the sun, and because of gravity I am actually upside in space, but I appear right side up. I marvel at how I got here and how I ended up on this big blue ball that we call Earth. I think about my presence here, and what it means as I try to leave an indelible imprint behind that impacts others in some way so I can wrap it up into a bow and call it my purpose.
It’s important for me to understand my purpose and why I am on this journey floating through space on a big blue marble that shifts its axis so that the seasons can come and go and allow water to precipitate so that we can thrive. It’s all so perplexing, but I have come up with some answers for myself that I believe are poignant for me to move forward and define my sense of purpose.
In all my scenarios and communication, I am simply trying to give some gift of love or kindness as I try to inspire others, and open my heart up to be inspired so I can continue to grow. I am not here to amass some kind of fortune that I can’t take with me, and I am definitely not here to climb some ladder others call success. I know I am here to experience joy, and to inspire others to experience joy. That is it. If you strip it all away, all of the material objects, the home, the clothes, the extraneous diversions that steal our ability to be present, there is not much left but each other. Within that subset of each other, we can thrive and create an alignment with ourselves or we can create destruction and chaos through egotistical maneuvers that benefit no one but a few uncanny survivors that selfishly thrive.
We all have a sense of purpose, and we all choose that purpose while we are here on the Planet. Our awareness of what that purpose is can dictate and alter our journey as we awaken to find the meaning behind what we do and why we do it.
I want us all to have an awakening in which we ask these difficult questions so that we can understand ourselves better, and understand humanity as we move swiftly through the labyrinth. By moving forward without understanding our purpose, we set intentions and impact lives without understanding the ripple effect we create by selecting a particular outcome. Let’s ask ourselves what is our purpose? What do you want to accomplish while you are here? What do you want to leave behind that will impact others and make the world a bit better? Why are you here? These questions are life changers, and they must be answered within each of us if we are to grow and understand and experience some type of awakening while on this big blue journey.
We all have a sense of purpose. No one was left out of this equation. We are all connected as one species, and we all know we can do better to understand this deeply.
