Feeling Stuck? Here are 5 tips to help you move forward

Tip 1
Confront your fears and mitigate them through action. Fear is a major culprit when it comes to creating change in our lives, and we would rather hang on to the fear, then move forward and create the needed change to live a more joyful existence. The fear comes in many forms, but most feel it in their work situation and dream of finding a job which aligns with their passions and allots them more free time to work remotely and control their productivity. To alleviate the fear, we must first acknowledge what it is before we can slay the beast and move forward. For many, it is the failure that their aligned dream job will not support their family, or will not provide the appropriate financial means to enjoy a fun filled life. First, we must believe that we can accomplish the task we set out to complete. It is fear that plants the seeds of doubt and kills the dreams inside of us. So how do we release the fear? We release the fear by moving forward and trying. The act of trying debilitates the fear as we confront it head on, and defeat it through action. There is no such thing as failure if we try; we solidify it as a life lesson or a new pathway or journey which could provide more joy. It’s certainly worth the risk as opposed to staying in a life that lacks fulfillment. Many are still fearful of taking the full leap of faith, so starting to move forward with smaller steps such as building something on the side while still retaining your other job is also an easier way to minimize the fear and still move forward. It will take a lot of work to do both, but look forward to building something monumental that you enjoy, rather than accepting the mediocrity that brings you little to no happiness. Don’t be afraid to be your greatest potential.
Tip 2
Surround yourself with friends and people who lift you up and support you. It’s almost impossible to move forward if the people around us are pulling us down, requiring more energy from us, and inevitably sucking our life force to the point of depletion. As you move forward, you may find that your circle of friends becomes a bit smaller, as it may become more apparent after your initial awareness that there might be more takers in your group of friends than givers and supporters. It’s difficult to move forward and alter your alignment when the dream killers are in your life holding you back from accomplishing any movement forward. Be aware of those people in your life that drain you emotionally, and slowly step back and move away from the toxicity. Join groups in social media that align with your common goals so that you can see others living the life that you would like to live. It is true that like energy is important for our own personal growth and those that have common goals aligned with yours might be more apt to be supportive on your new journey. Let go of the old, and embrace the new.
Tip 3
Monitor your thoughts more frequently and become aware of information you are digesting. We have approximately 60,000-80,000 thoughts per day. The majority of them can be quite negative and debilitating as they sift in and out of our busy routine. It is important to understand which thoughts are accurate, and which ones are simply blatant lies that don’t belong in our arsenal of thoughts to begin with. As we begin to monitor our thoughts, we become aware of the negativity, and it is our choice whether we allow those thoughts to be digested as truths, or dismissed as lies, and not allowed to enter the deeper part of our being. When a thought comes across your mind that is not aligned with your current path, you can simply choose to say the word “lie” and move on as the thought diminishes and disappears. This may happen several times a day as we play videos inside our mind, and play verbal volleyball with our thoughts. Monitoring our thoughts is key for a more joyful existence, and allows us to leave the negative trap we have planted in order to find a new path which provides a stronger alignment and inevitably more joy. We can’t control every thought throughout the day, but if we were able to control half of them, and discard 50% of all negative thoughts, then we would be moving in the right direction towards a shift and change for a new life path.
Tip 4
Perform acts of kindness on a daily basis as it lifts the other person up, and in turn lifts you up in the process. These acts of kindness can be simple like holding a door open for someone, or saying good morning to a stranger on the street. It aligns your spirit and allows you to vibrate on a higher frequency which is great for manifesting your desires and asking the Universe for the gifts you would like to receive. One morning I was walking to the gym and I saw a woman walking towards me. She looked a bit forlorn and I could tell she needed a little lift so I reached out with a big “Good Morning”, and she jumped a little and was a bit stunned from my joyful good morning energy. She kept looking back, and I felt good about giving her my energy that morning. I would find out later on that she was on her way to commit suicide, and my simple act of saying good morning stopped her from doing that. We never know the impact we will make by doing a simple act of kindness, so do them throughout the day and revel in the gift of giving as it not only lifts others up, but lifts you up as well.
Tip 5
Take action towards doing the things in life that bring you joy. We talk about wanting to hike, or take a yoga class, yet we make an excuse of why we are too busy to partake in something that will shift our alignment and bring us joy. It’s easy to experience more joy if you are doing joyful things, so please select them, do them, and enjoy them and make them a part of your daily routine. Walk on the beach, hike, read in a little nook of coziness, take a nap, or simply walk in nature and smell the trees and flowers as they bloom along your path. Partaking in joyful activities will shift your alignment, and ultimately bring you more joy.
