How do I find customers?

Learn the most important thing you can do to find customers.
Nothing is more exciting than starting up a business doing what you love. And nothing is more frustrating than hitting a brick wall finding clients.
While you may be very good at what you do, there’s a steep learning curve on processes - and a deadline called cashflow. Once that runs out, well.
Yet, there is something that you can do to shorten the painful ride to mastering your processes. This is an idea that most people reject straight out of the gate. It goes against the well-intentioned desire to help everyone. That’s why you went into business isn’t it? To help everyone with your solution?
“Helping everyone” is the number one problem most people struggle with finding customers. Few establish a clear and well-defined target before launch and backed by research.
Research answers these three basic questions: Is there a problem? Is there an existing solution? Is there a gap I can fill.
A clear and well-defined target is so specific, an actual person comes to mind. Not a group of people - an actual human being who fits the profile. That’s specific.
Instead, most people are generic even as they imagine that they’re not. And without a clear picture of who they’re serving, it’s hard to find customers. Where do you begin to look?
Think of your customer - do you see a specific person or corporation in mind? If not, you’ve got your work cut out for you.
If you want to find customers, work on your client profile or avatar. It is hard work and takes a lot of thought and research, but it is well worth the effort and will save you time and money.
