Living your ideal day is closer than you think - find out how through The 3PM Rule and the ReThinkU Performance Coaching Ideal Life Vision Exercise!
What I discovered while reflecting on what has contributed to my success is this;
Preparation breeds confidence, being Proactive leads to progression (progression is living), Persistence is resilience, thus Momentum is activated and becomes constant. There are many peaks and valleys in everything we do. The challenge lies in maintaining a peak state when we’re in the valley.
One of the biggest challenges of momentum is getting it started. It’s relatively easy to maintain once activated and in full effect because you’ve developed the proper habits to keep it going. You’re making decisions for the better automatically every day from the healthy habits you’ve created, which takes time.
What you’re going to learn in this eBook is how to generate an everlasting momentum towards living your ideal day. Once I understood these principles, I was able to harness the power of momentum and sustain it. In 6 years I went from knowing nothing about sales to becoming a Partner in a Chrysler Franchise. Within 2 years of being a Partner, we increased our Net Profit by 300% and I was recognized as one of the Top 40 Automotive Professionals in North America under the age of 40 by Automotive News.
My family and I have since moved 1,000 miles away from the dealership which has provided us with a freedom many people dream of having and I want your dream to become a reality for you. I’m able to attend our kids school and sporting events, plus stay home with my family. Within 18 months of moving to beautiful Kelowna, BC I started 2 companies, wrote and self-published a book, and continue to be involved in the dealership.
Momentum has also been a major contributor to the professional and personal success of many influencers…
“Success comes from taking the initiative and following up…persisting…eloquently expressing the depth of your love. What simple action could you take today to produce a new momentum toward success in your life?” — Tony Robbins
“It is often when night looks darkest, it is often before the fever breaks that one senses the gathering momentum for change, when one feels that resurrection of hope in the midst of despair and apathy.” — Hillary Clinton
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius
“While a good leader sustains momentum, a great leader increases it.” — John C. Maxwell
Let’s now take a look at how to generate an everlasting momentum…
I call this “The 3PM Rule”
Preparation + Proactive + Persistence = Momentum!
Preparation;
I love golf so I’ll use it as a metaphor. To best prepare for a round of golf or the entire golf season, I’ll make sure I have the right equipment in place first. Club fitting, grips, proper golf balls for my game, and make sure I have all of the right equipment in my bag to set my game up for success.
The same is true for life. Think of each day as a round of golf as a day in your life and a golf season as each year of your life.
How are you preparing for each day and each year so that you’re setting yourself up for success?
What books, online courses, podcasts, and apps do you have in your bag?
Proactive;
Whenever I go for 18 holes, I do what I can to hit the driving range first before teeing it up on Hole #1 because it gives me the confidence I need to start and maintain a solid round. If I go to the course without hitting the range first, I struggle more and if I do find my swing, it’s usually o the 17th hole, not exactly the right time for momentum to kick-in. Getting a feel for the speed of the greens, a feel for my short-game, and getting the rhythm of my driver swing down prior to the first tee is exactly what I need to do in order to set myself up for success on the course.
How are you being proactive and setting up your day for success?
How are you ensuring that you’re reading the books, completing the online courses, listening to the podcasts, and using the apps that you have in your bag?
Persistence;
We all know how critical persistence is in golf. There are so many ups and downs aren’t there? Par, Bogey, Birdie, Double Bogey, back to Par, and on goes the inconsistency if you aren’t a professional. Golf requires a strong mindset but it provides you with ample opportunity to develop that through every round. If you hit a bad tee shot and have an amazing recovery shot, you’ve started to generate a positive momentum. If you hit a bad tee shot and have a bad second shot, you’ve started to generate a negative momentum. It takes resilience to overcome the negative and persistence to maintain the positive momentum by not letting a bad shot get in your way of still having a great round.
How are you building persistence through the challenges you face throughout your daily life?
Momentum;
Once you are well-prepared, consistently being proactive, and are persistent, you will now have a momentum generated that will last forever so long as you maintain the proper habits to keep it going. The challenge or setback (bad shot or hole) that you will face throughout life won’t stand a chance against the powerful momentum that you’ve generated!

Living your ideal day takes work, discipline, consistency, and patience. This is why it’s critical to have purpose behind your ideal life. Passion is important but purpose is even more important. The difference is that passion is what you do for you and purpose is what you do for something that’s bigger than you – think legacy. For me, I define legacy to be an example of what’s possible to my family. Your definition may be different and that’s ok. What’s important is to tie your legacy to your ideal day. That’s the way you become truly fulfilled and sustain momentum. Avoid the trap of falling into achieving great things in your life (passion) but coming up short on fulfillment (purpose).
Now imagine being able to live out your ideal day everyday…. What does that look like for you?
Palm trees and margaritas?
A permanent staycation?
Travelling the world?
Becoming a philanthropist?
Completing your bucket list?
Running your dream business?
Living your current life but stress free?
Whatever it is, the aforementioned exercise is designed to generate enthusiasm, your imagination, and a single step towards developing your everlasting momentum moving you one step closer to living out the life of your dreams.
Life is short but it can be long if you know how to live it. Take it one step at a time. Think small wins.
