The most wonderful union of two souls is sealed at marriage who promise to be with each other, for a life time.
A good couple relationship is the gateway to a happy and blissful married life, sprinkled with vibrancy and love.
However considering the rapidly changing relationship dynamics, a couple need to follow certain guidelines in pursuit of a successful romantic relationship.
Let’s look at few important rules that a couple must follow to keep their relationship intact and alive.
First Vow : I will always Be Understanding
Make a sincere effort to understand your spouse’s likes and dislikes. This will surely help in building a strong bond as anyone would love to have a partner who understands. However be natural, genuine and do not force anything upon yourself as that would make you uncomfortable and your efforts would be half-hearted.
Second Vow : I will Give More
Be as supportive as possible to your spouse. Be the best friend and companion to your spouse. Invest precious time in each other. Give to each other love, words of appreciation & encouragement, daily dose of hugs, little gifts, bless each other, say thank you often, go for walks together, hold each other’s hand, dine together.
Third Vow : I will Respect your Privacy
Respecting each other’s privacy is important. Involve yourself with your spouse but not to the extent where you become uncomfortable in each other’s company. Being in a relationship means you respect each other’s time and private domain.
For your relationship to grow stronger and sustain over the long term you need to treat it with empathetic care.
Fourth Vow : I will Make our Date “Special”
The more time you spend with each other the more special your relationship becomes.
Plan a special date at least once a month. Book your favourite restaurant and have a candle light dinner. Set up a date night at home with some romantic music and a perfect meal. The idea is to show your spouse you really love him/her a lot.
Fifth Vow : I will Do Something You Like
Just do something your spouse likes to make him/her feel special. If your husband likes long nails, then just grow your nails for his love. Wear his favourite coloured dress or something that he likes. Husbands can lend a helping hand with the house-hold chores, prepare break-fast for your wife, make a refreshing cup of morning tea or coffee and serve it to her in bed.
Sixth Vow : I will Express Myself Silently
You can express your love by doing small things. Hold hands while walking on the street, put your arms around each other. When your spouse comes back home welcome with a smile and a hug. When you think your partner is feeling low talk to him/her.
Seventh Vow : I will send You Love Messages
Everyone is busy but you can take time out to bring a smile. Make a cute love message with reasons of your love and text it your spouse. Leave notes under the pillow or stick love notes on your washroom or kitchen. Insert some love notes in your spouse’s meal box.
Eighth Vow : I will be Intentional in every Word I speak to You
The power of words works both ways. And it can be far too easy to find faults with your partner rather than noticing the positives. That’s why it’s so important to be intentional about how you speak to each other. Thriving relationships are built on the foundation of being intentionally courteous and respectful in communication with each other. You don’t accidentally have a great long-term relationship; you have to be intentional every day with the words you speak.
Nineth Vow : I will Express Myself to You
Couple relationships are enriching and fulfilling but they’re hard to nurture and maintain if you aren’t on the same feeling level. Have you ever wondered what you could do every day to keep the love and passion alive and your relationship vibrant? The answer is – express yourself. You have to let your partner know how you feel.
All these little gestures will have a positive impact on your relationship and you would feel loved and blessed to have your partner in your life.
