You think you know what hard work is?

I spend a lot time on social media talking about my daughter. She's beyond amazing. But my boys (twins) are fucking rock stars.
They have severe dyslexia (reading), dyscalculia (math) and dysgraphia (writing). School, obviously, is a horrendous struggle. They are taking college statistics right now. AKA sadistics. I just want the world to know how they get through math. Any math.
On Tues they spent from 3pm – 10pm doing math homework. On Wed they spent from 1pm – 5pm on math homework, went to an evening college class, came home at 10.45pm and did math homework from then until 4am. Then today (Thurs) they had a test. They started the test at 1pm and finished at 6pm.
And they haven’t complained. They haven’t tried to get out of it. They just keep plugging along. They both fully expect to fail this class.
Can you imagine? Can you just take a second and really try to put yourself in their place? They just worked 20+ hours in three days on math ONLY. And they really don’t think it’s going to pay off. But they are doing it anyway. And they know they are probably going to have to do it all over again next semester. That’s normal for them. That’s what formal schooling is for them day to day. Can you imagine every single day of your life – since you were about 7 yrs old – working that hard for something everyone else does with 1/5th the effort? I am humbled. I am bursting with pride. I am in awe.
