Attached to someone very quickly

How and why do we get "hooked up" and obsessed with romance
Obsessed with someone quickly…
Men or women sometimes get attached to someone very quickly and, in some cases, this situation, that one feeds secretly, can last for years (for the last person I met, it had been going on for over 10 years), keeping the person away from other possibilities.
Some reasons:
- The CONTRAST; The effect of someone entering our reality is different according to our character and life style. A social person that is used to getting a lot of “romantic” attention, or a shyer one, more introvert or conservative, will live the situation very differently. The greater the contrast, the stronger the “hook up”.
- The PICTURE FRAME; whether it lasted for one hour, a few days or even just a week, or for a few poems…this “perfect” romance gets framed in the mind of the person and it seems it cannot be tapped by anyone or anything else. Even if the “potential lover” ruined everything afterwards, the frame is the frame, and it seems it has lasted a life time and the bond is real, sincere, strong, and above all, special and unique!
- DISTORTION OF TIME; As it was “so beautiful”, it seems it lasted forever even if it was only one event, or a few nice words, even if all that followed was very disappointing, it won’t matter for the person. If they had it for a few minutes or a few days, they MUST have it back. The person starts to read and meditate about law of attraction, the power magic and strong will, etc… and keeps herself/himself trapped
- INAPPROPRIATE EXPECTATION/ INTERPRETATION; if it felt beautiful and right, some people come with the only purpose of opening our hearts, help us know what we want and define what we do not want, give us insights about what is happening inside of us, and this IS beautiful and must be enough in some cases
- THE MOVIE; for each and every word, for each and every look shared, meant a whole world. It all went far beyond what had been said and done.
Each and every story is a reflection of what is going on inside. Maybe, gently, you can talk yourself out of it, for there is so much more to come! A story that won’t keep you neither wondering, nor doubting, for it will be too busy being real.
