Do You Complain A Lot and Do Nothing About It?

Have you heard of a RACKET? A constant & persistent complaint, that you engage in, yet do nothing about.
When you are complaining about something, you know the situation; why me? It’s not fair, why can’t my life be different? This really annoys me, he/she is a pain, this place/town/city/country sucks!
My life’s a mess, I never have time, I never have enough, I hate my job, etc, etc, etc.
… and you do NOTHING about it, you are RUNNING YOUR RACKET.
You are a RACKETEER.
Rackets are used in case of loss of power, freedom, self-expression or peace of mind.
Pay-off: Right/wrong, dominate/avoid domination, self justify/invalidate others, gratification, win/lose.
Cost: Love/affinity/connection, self-expression, health/vitality/well-being, satisfaction/fulfillment.
Rackets are a way for us to not take responsibility for our own life.
Notice, as you begin your week, where you are a constant complaint; where you winge and moan, maybe just to yourself, yet you do nothing to make the shift needed to get out of the situation and take action.
We all have our RACKETS… what’s yours?
The key is awareness… stop empowering the RACKET and take action to change it. Shift it, look for what’s POSSIBLE.
