Why Exercise Helps Anxiety...

Anyone who suffers from anxiety may have heard that exercise can help but here’s WHY it helps.
When stress starts to affect the brain (and all its nerve connections) the rest of the body feels it too. This is when we start to show physical symptoms of anxiety like sweating, shallow breathing amongst other things.
Exercise can reduce not only the symptoms but also the overall condition because it transforms the nervous energy into a new energy which releases natural chemicals (like endorphins, endogenous cannabinoids)which will affect the neurotransmitter in the body. It will enhance overall well-being by relaxing the system.
Increasing the body temperature will also induce a sense of calm to the body and the brain.
The act of exercise will also align thoughts from interrupting negative thought patterns and replacing them with thoughts of self-care. When we know we are doing something positive for ourselves and our health, and when we feel the results we create a new, healthy thought pattern cycle.
As little as 10 minutes of activity each day can reduce the effects, now imagine what could happen if you chose to do more than 10minutes!
Until next time, keep learning & keep growing.
