Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. It means the positive impact of the companies on society.
This includes charity, child labor fighting or good labor conditions in the work field.
On the one hand, some companies may use that for publicity tricks of their products. That would be possible by writing some passages about the charity they had performed. Including some non-cognitive messages, which could be morally not allowed. Or by means of declaring a particular charitable contribution in public conferences or TV shows.
On the other hand, some companies may use CSR as an excellent trick for avoiding taxes. This may occur when the company manipulates the truth about the real amount paid to that charity.
As a matter of fact, we don’t agree of either of these attitudes of CSR. In turn, it should have been done just because of the moral responsibility toward the community.
I personally, would be very positive. I see CSR as an immense benefit for society and companies at the same time. That is called in business, win-win situation.
It is very crucial to start thinking about that seriously. Some of our companies in Arab word may conduct CSR. I hope we could perform that to give back to the community.
