It seems nowadays that everybody is a coach, right? So how to recognize one? in this article, I bring a quick an easy overview of coaching.
.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential. Coaching can support you in learning new strategies to make significant mental, emotional and behavioral changes. Coaching may address personal goals, career aspirations, or general areas of life you would like to improve. Sessions last from 45 min to 75 minutes each either in-person, over the phone, or via video call, depending on the Client’s preferences.
So for example, my coaching process is a cutting-edge modality that offers new possibilities for success. I am certified by iPec (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching), where I learned techniques and exercises developed after nearly 20 years of research in the field of science of human potential and consciousness. Resulting in a robust system that uses psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, Reiki, metaphysics, quantum mechanics, NLP and various learning theories such as emotional intelligence and leadership development
Why people hire coaches?
It isn’t easy for any of us to deal with our sometimes rapidly changing lives. The coaching relationship helps clients not only to manage but thrive in the face of change, the coaching process challenges people to take the time to focus on what they want and help them to recognize and break through what is holding them back from achieving success. Are you tired of doing what you should do and get nowhere? Working together will enable you to create and experience the life of you choose to yourself based on your values, skills, and purpose.
What coaching is NOT?
Coaching is a different service from psychotherapy and counseling. Coaching does not address mental illness, suicidal thoughts or emotional trauma. Instead, coaching focuses on closing the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Also, whereas therapy focuses on taking someone from a dysfunctional-to-functional state of being, coaching takes someone from a functional-to-optimal state of being. A serious coach does not tell the client what to do, period! The whole process is about empowerment and enticing you to come up with your answers, because on coaching we believe that you know what best you is, so we’re here to guide you to find your answers, this process assures that you get sustainable changes, rather than fix you on short-term #newyearresolutions. Now if you want someone to tell what you should do, them, you can hire a mentor, and if the case is to have someone doing for you then you need a consultant.Hope this article helps you to clarify what the heck is a coach and next time you think about getting some support. There are many kinds of professionals out there, and we all believe in you!
