90-Days to My Dream Career or Business: Living and Working with Purpose - Part 2

How can I find a job that is exciting and fulfilling and pays me well? Creating your dream job or business is about more than just setting goals.
In Part 1, we looked at how discovering our life purpose is a key part of creating the career or business of your dreams. Identifying the WHY or WHAT FOR sets the path for WHO we choose to be, WHAT we want to do and HOW we want to do. It’s sets a clear path for creating a powerful vision.
Yes, a vision that inspires you to jump out of bed each day. A vison that motivates you to keep going even when things seem impossible. Even when you can’t see HOW this will work. Even when you face your biggest fears and insecurities.
Not a vision based on what you’re capable of; because that stems from history. Not a vision limited to the amount of time you have or the amount of money in your bank account; because that stems from scarcity. A vision based on possibility – Abundance, Courage, Faith, the FUTURE.
Once your vision is in place, the rest is simple. You put together a strategic action plan for the next 6 months, year or 5 years. Tiny baby steps you take every single day to make your vision a reality. Daily goals. Weekly goals. Monthly goals. Action steps versus a to do list.
A plan based on goals that are SMART – Smart, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely. Because you have a powerful WHY or WHAT FOR, your goals and action plan are not based on your willpower. This keeps you grounded. Keeps you focused. Keeps you moving along your path.
A strategic plan is not a fantasy. There are no magic genies who fly out to do the work each day. You must consider the skills you have or need to upgrade so you can get things done. Look at your environment. What or Who drains who? Let those go. What or Who gives you life. Say yes to MORE of those.
And then there’s the biggie. Yes, MINDSET. The amazing structure that holds the key to the level of success we achieve in area of our lives, no matter how smart, driven or dedicated we are. It is the structure that makes or breaks ANYTHING. Who do you say you are? What do you say you can do? What do you choose?
What beliefs, stories, negative self-talk or self-sabotaging behaviors are in the way? What STOPS you? What is your relationship to time and money? Is there never enough of any or both, or are you swimming in an abundance and prosperous mental flow?
What is your relationship to “difficult,” “easy” or “I Can’t?” How have things gone in the past? What is predictable? You’re the expert on your life. You get to choose to create your dream from a place of predictability or possibility. What do you choose?
From a place of possibility what is possible in 30 days? 90 days? A year? Or 5 years? Who do you want to be?
Getting to your dream career or business in 90 days is inevitable when you show up fully. Do the work fully and be the person you say you want to be. When your goal becomes a place to come from rather than a place to go to. You want to be a real estate investor? What would a real estate investor do today to get this action step done? Versus when I become a real estate investor, I will go do this thing.
And transformation? Yes, that happens every day, along the way to your goals. You can’t help it. Why? Because a powerful vision, sustainable action and exponential external results require us to grow on the inside.
