Hi Friends and newbies looking to get information and inspiration to help you get over a hump or just streamline your personal approach to getting a better “Fit” you…Well what better inspiration than to tell you how I lost my 50 lbs..diet wise…I still think it is important to go to your doctor..I went, he sent me to a phlebotomist (Blood Doctor) and then a Dietician and she said DO THIS….so everyone is going to get something different once you sit with your physician.
My doctor recommended a 60 carbohydrates per day diet…radical, like an “Atkins Diet”..but of course my doctor gave me a sheet and started circling foods to avoid and foods that were good for me… I gravitated to what worked and what I like so I want to share what my typical diet looks like…Below is what I’m eating..roughly about 60 grams of carbs.
Also recommended was using a way to track your progress…on your smartphone…not required but since its always near you..its easy and convenient..your eating you note what your putting in your temple… your life vessel…I first used “Argus”
But after I got my fitness tracker Garmin Fenix, it worked with My Fitness Pal
My Fitness Pal,, is a very comprehensive site which gives you a plethora of information…1. Its a food tracker, via description or via bar code 2. It analyzes you food intake by its content and by customizing your preferred diet preferences can make suggestions or make you more aware if this is going to blow your diet..3. It provides you with daily, weekly or monthly information so if your wondering what you ate, how much you can eat if you trying to decide to go for the 25 gram protein bar or just get a 5 gram cookie it will let you know where your at…and it has saved me from blowing my diet plenty of times…usually I put about 25 grams of carbs in my body in the morning and spreading the other 35 grams of carbs through lunch and dinner. 4. It monitors your workouts and stairclimbs…water intake…yes PLEASE don’t forget your water…that’s a separate issue I will talk about that in another blog. and 5. All the statistical information graphs…I love this and you will too. Clearly colorful and easy to understand and read. So this is my go to app. And there’s more out there to use. Essential these apps keep you intune with your body your soul and sanity. super highly recommended.
