5 Signs you don’t love yourself
Happiness is closely connected to self-love because how can you expect others to love and respect you if you don’t love and respect yourself. Loving yourself has nothing to do with narcissism or other exaggerated aspects of the kind, as it is more a way to feel comfortable in your own skin, to know your self-worth, and to want to be happy by doing the things that matter to you. Also, many people have the impression that they love themselves, while in reality, things are very different. So take a look at the following signs and see if you do love yourself or not.
1. You feel like an alien in your own skin
This is practically a sign that you’re disconnected with yourself, which means that you’re not truly loving your person. You probably sunk too deep into the present world and forgot that you need some time to relax and reconnect with yourself. So, take a break and spend some time in nature, in an environment surrounded by peace and positivity, or just perform some breathing exercises while in a calm space, because this way you will remove the barriers between the protective layers you’ve created and your true self.
2. Your health is not well looked after
When we don’t love ourselves, our health will have to suffer. People that have a problem in this sector will often take refuge in food, drugs, alcohol, and other unhealthy substances and habits. Yes, it is true that most of us have to face a high level of stress on a daily basis, but there are always other better ways to manage it. If you practice self-love and respect yourself, you will always make choices that won’t harm you and will look after your health.
3. You feel the desire to run away from yourself
There are times in which we end up in unpleasant situations, time in which we would like to escape from ourselves and run away. But, thinking this way won’t get you anywhere because you’ll still have to live with yourself at the end of the day. According to the Law of Attraction, negative states of mind will generate negative events in your life, so changing your attitude and your way of thinking will help you a lot, even in finding a solution that may seem impossible at first.
4. You end up in toxic relationships
If you are experiencing bad relationships over and over again, then this is certainly a sign that you don’t really love yourself, rather than having bad luck each time. In case you keep having experiences with toxic relationships, then there must be something you need to clarify with your own person, so that you will attract the right people into your life and now the wrong ones. As soon as you start thinking positive and have a clear view over your future, then the Law of Attraction will start working for you.
5. You see your life as uninteresting
Aren’t you able to find any passion and interests in your life? Then you need to stop and do a thorough introspection, figuring out what are the things, goals, desires that will bring happiness and success in your life. Be honest with yourself and do your best to figure out on which path you’ll want to walk in life. Once you find this information, then you can start creating the life you desire for yourself. Just don’t forget that things can change, so do remain flexible when it comes to your plans. If you end up realizing that a part of your plan doesn’t suit you anymore, have the freedom to change it so that you will head toward the right direction.
