Where to Begin?

Most people are looking for change of some kind. In this article I share 7 simple steps to give you a starting point. What do you really want?
Having worked with so many people, I’ve noticed one commonality between them. They all have an inkling they want to change but they never seem to know where to start. What they want to change differs massively, from their lifestyle, their relationship, their job or even their whole life. The best place to start is with deciding “what do you want?!”
I have asked this question countless times and 99% of the time the answer is what they don’t want. (Listen for it next time you ask someone – it seems to be a natural response for the majority!)
Too many people are concentrating so much on what they don’t want, which unconsciously triggers anxiety and prompts emotion within the body, sometimes without even realizing. Even though the intention is positive as you’re answering a life altering question, the words you use and the thought process you use is actually not helping you at all as it stirs up the weight of what you don’t want. This alone can be overwhelming enough and most people stop there and lose all clarity on where to begin.
So, where to begin? Follow the 7 steps below to help you get started.
1) Make a list of what you WANT
2) Identify all the things what would need to change in your life to get what you want
3) Prioritize the top 3 things that would need to change 4) Strategise how you will achieve those top 3 5) Share the changes and strategies you will make with someone close to you 6) Take action 7) Ask for help if and when you need it These steps will help you get started, if you really want to get started that is. You’ll notice that I say this often, “only if you really want to”. I say it because so many people day they want change but rarely want it enough to do anything about it. Be true to yourself, join the fulfilled few and begin today. Keep Learning and Keep Growing.
