In the Middle Ages, the cycle of living was represented by the Wheel of Life. It is a visual reminder that life is cyclical.
At the top is the king (or queen) representing the phase of life called Success or Happiness. As the wheel of life turns, you go through 3 more phases.
First you experience a loss of some kind. On the right, the man has turned upside down (like when your life is turning upside down). This phase is called Loss. The next phase is called Suffering. At the bottom of the wheel, the man is naked and hanging on for dear life. In Latin, the root of the word “suffering” means “to experience or allow.” We can not avoid this process. It is a natural element of experiencing life. The third phase is called Hope. The man on the left is reaching back up to the top. Hope emerges when we begin to work and hold a vision of our return to happiness and normality.
Your experience of the cycles of life brings you to find happiness in a new state of equilibrium. Happiness is rarely a permanent state. Change will reliably come as we journey around the wheel of life. Loss, suffering and hope are important to our growth as much as happiness and success are.
Life coaching provides you with the opportunity to put your hands on the wheel of life and turn it at the speed that returns you more quickly to happiness.
