What moves you?
Your kid’s smile, your spouse, the beach, an idol? What is your inspiration to fight, to become better, to go further? We all have our own motivation, most of times it is very clear, sometimes you have to stop and think to find it.
But do you know what moves us all? And it’s free, and it’s always “right there”? Movement. Moving is probably the most inspiring action that you can take in your life.
Even if you are not a big fan of exercising, if you allow yourself to move, consistently, for about 20 to 30 minutes, wonders will start to happen. Your body will release endorphins, which – going straight to the point – means: you are going to feel better. You will feel happier then when you started, simple as that. Take that into account the next time you are contemplating if you are going to exercise or not. You may not feel like working out and sweating. However, the opportunity of happiness is always inviting. Just make the first move and go on. Keep going and wait, wait, wait… there it is! You will see that it was worth the wait.
Moving your body can give you a mood boost, increase your energy levels, burn calories, shape up your body, and improve your circulation, breathing, heart function and overall body endurance. It releases toxins, helps you clear up your mind, filter your thoughts and clean up whatever bad energy you might be carrying on your shoulders.
Movement literally moves you, it can be so inspiring you would not believe it, until you give it a chance. Next time you think you are lacking motivation for work, creativity, will power or courage to take action, let your own body do the honor of picking yourself up and pointing the right direction.
Move, breath, allow yourself to feel good and enjoy the benefits that come with it.
Freedom. Choice. Power. It is all in your own hands (and feet).
Go for a walk, a run, a hike. Find the sport that suits you. Work out. Dance. Whatever works for you, as long as it moves your body in a nice, respectful way. Do not force yourself to exercise in a way that does not feel good or natural – the results would be far from positive.
Are you inspired to start moving? Or even better – to move more? Perhaps to start taking advantage of this powerful tool not to just lose weight or become fit, but to enhance your performance at your career for example.
Move into action. Sitting right where you are will not take you anywhere.
Albert Einstein wisely said “nothing happens until something moves” – think about it; so simple, so obvious, any of us could have come up with that. So true though.
It is very easy to wish for things to change, to complain, to be unsatisfied. Well, are you doing anything about it? What are the actions you are taking to change what you are not satisfied with? Or are you one hundred percent happy exactly where you are right now? In terms of health, wealth and all, including where you live, where you enjoy your free time, the amount of free time you have, where and who you spend it with, your relationships, your profession, the way you look, the way you treat your loved ones and yourself. If it is all perfect, good for you! Although you might just be comfortable, perhaps even lazy about it, thinking that it is fine the way it is, why bother to change? Why bother moving into action when stagnation is just fine? Because fine is not good enough, it is not great, nor wonderful. It does not move you. Moreover, you deserve to be moved and inspired, to feel and look your best.
Look at your life from the outside. See if you can admire that person’s lifestyle, achievements, habits, health and body. If not, analyze what could be changed in order for you to be proud of yourself. Set your goals, make your plan and go for it. Move towards your bright future.
Wishing you an abundance of wellness and movement,
