Hypnotherapy utilizes the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behavior. Hypnotherapy is a potent treatment for changing deeply held beliefs, behaviors and emotions you’ve struggled to transform using other methods. It’s also important to note that no hypnotherapist has the ability, power, or skill to make anyone do or say anything they don’t wish to.
Are there any risks of remaining in a trance state?
- No. Your Hypnotherapist will safely count you back from your hypnotherapy experience and ensure that you are fully alert and wake before leaving the session. The level of deep meditation is similar to what you may have experienced during a massage, meditation or yoga nidra experience, and you will be fully alert and feel refreshed afterwards.
What if it doesn’t work for me? Is one session enough?
- Often people do experience a substantial improvement with only one session and there are many cases of folks attending a single hypnotherapy session and making the desired changes they sought treatment for. However lasting change occurs over time, and a series of sessions is likely to be the most effective. That being said, doing a single session will still be very impactful, and you can determine collaboratively with your hypnotherapist the best treatment plan to suit your unique needs.
What can I expect from my Hypnotherapy treatment?
- A Hypnotherapy Consult, which is included in your treatment cost, will take place prior to your first Hypnotherapy session, usually about a week prior to your session. This will allow you to talk with your therapist about your desired outcomes and ask questions. It also allows your therapist to collect the necessary information to customize your Hypnotherapy treatment to your unique personality and treatment aims. Once your treatment aims have been established, your Hypnotherapy session will be scheduled for 60-75 minutes.
