Welcome
An opening statement.
As I sit here in my new address – the beautiful and sunny South Florida, I feel welcome. I feel welcome by a city that received my husband and I with nice weather and warm people.
As I go on my morning walks with my sweet little dog all I see is smiles and nice greetings, and that makes me so happy! And that’s exactly how I want you to feel here.
Please make yourself at home. Take your shoes off, sit back and relax, because every time you swing by I’ll greet you with my warmest smile to hopefully make you happy and welcome!
I want this to be your happy place, where you can sneak out of your busy day at work for a couple of minutes, or for a nice little shift when you get home, or to start your day right. Who doesn’t need that? Some inspiring words, some “me time”, quick and easy tips to improve your health and wellness, some relaxation…or agitation! Whatever you may need.
My goal is making you feel better, helping you create a better version of yourself, that one you’ve never thought of, or you’ve designed roughly but haven’t moved on with your project yet because you lack time or motivation.
Let’s take that “better you” out of the back burner and fire it up! Does that sound good to you? It sounds brilliant to me! Why just living “OK” when you can live your fullest? I much rather feel awesome than good – I don’t know about you. I mean, OK is fair, but awesome is pretty spectacular to me! So let’s aim at that – let’s shoot for awesome!
Next time someone asks you how you’re doing, do me a favor and don’t answer with an automatic: I’m doing well/good/OK (blah). Say that you’re doing great! Because if you do that, I promise you, you will feel great. Even if you are feeling a little blah…
It’s OK to “lie” a little bit about your state of mind, it’s an innocent lie based on good intentions, just to make yourself feel better. Besides, you don’t wanna say that you’re not feeling so great and start a whole conversation about it, right? Then you would end up reminding yourself of your problems, having to hear someone else’s opinion about them and bringing them to the spotlight.
And that shouldn’t be your focus, remember? We just brought the vision of that better you to action, didn’t we? Right, so let’s focus on that! And that better you certainly doesn’t waste any of his/her precious and well-managed time with things (or people, but we’ll talk about that another time) that don’t add anything positive to his/her life.
Alright, you’ve got some homework to do: whenever someone asks how you are doing, please say that you are great. Then work your way up to awesome, marvelous, fan-tas-tic!! I promise it works like magic.
Our brain loves hearing these tricky little inspirational manifesting words. Just pronounce them repeatedly and it will all manifest to you. It’s like when you’re stretching and it hurts because you’re stiff and then you smile; it makes it easier, doesn’t it? (Haven’t you tried that yet? Give it a try – trick your brain into thinking that the stretch feels good by smiling while you’re doing it and it will be much easier. Also, you will look prettier since you’re smiling!).
Oh, and don’t forget to ask how the person who asked is doing as well. Along with that pretty smile of yours. It feels nice to be nice.
