Life is not Fair but even negative experiences can have positive results,

Life can change in a heartbeat.Dramatic changes in life take many forms .Divorce, bankruptcy accidents are just a few .The outcome depends on you.
I am becoming increasingly convinced that very little happens in our lives without both meaning and purpose. About 4 months ago I prayed that God would use my life to make a difference in other people’s lives. Fear of what direction God could take my life made that difficult prayer for me. I was in effect saying Jesus take the wheel.
Two days later the steering wheel came off the 1977 CJ5 Jeep I had purchased only one hour earlier. I felt both shock and disbelief, it was like I had just woken up from a nightmare only to find that it was really happening. I was on I-85 at the height of traffic hour going just under 60 miles per hour. My first reaction was to try and put the steering wheel back on. The road was curving right but the Jeep was heading into the ditch and towards the trees.Praying I did the only thing I could do under the circumstances. I hit the brakes. The Jeep breaking unevenly pulled me out of the ditch and into the path traffic. In just a fraction of a second I was struck by the unbelievable force that’s created when two vehicles make contact at a high rate of speed. The Jeep flipped a full circle on impact and landed on the driver’s side I was airlifted to a trauma Hospital in Atlanta. I was treated for four broken ribs, a fractured shoulder, head injury and road rash on my left arm and head. I am very fortunate to be alive but I think my Guardian Angel has requested a transfer to less hazardous duty. You know that song Jesus take the wheel? Don’t sing it unless you mean it.I was not at fault, I didn’t deserve it and God was not punishing me. Lifes not fair and bad things happen to good people. If we choose it, even negative experiences can have positive results.
How has my life changed for the better?
I have more gratitude in my life, I take less for granted and I have a deeper appreciation for how precious our limited time on this earth is. My faith in God and humanity is greater than ever and I am committed to making a difference in the lives of the people God puts in my path.
Last but not least I live with a certainty that God will bless my efforts but it’s up to me make them.
