This is it. The last business day of the year for many. The final Friday in December.
So… How’d you do this year?
Before your celebration to ring in the New Year, now is a great time to take stock of what happened this year (good or ill) and to begin planning for 2017. Carve out some time to review wins you’ve had and make plans to replicate those successes.
Reflect back too on issues and opportunities missed. Jot down some ideas on what you might have done to capitalize on those opportunities and to mitigate any challenges you’ve faced. Document how you’ve allocated your time and work to eliminate time wasters in favor of high value, high impact activities.
If you’ve not already done so, begin to set your goals and plan for 2017. What do you want to accomplish? Outline one or two major goals and the basic strategies, tactics, and activities involved in achieving what you desire. Remember when goal setting, to focus on only what you truly desire. Avoid setting goals around things that are not important to you, personally. Focus on what you care to achieve first.
The most important thing you can do on Tuesday is to begin to take action on achieving your goal. And to take action every single day. New Year, new resolutions, new goals, and a new opportunity. Don’t waste it. Massive, determined, daily action on goals you care deeply about achieving will bring you success, happiness, and prosperity in 2017.
