What is a Modern Proverbs 31 Woman?

For some of us, being a Modern Proverbs 31 Woman comes with a price. We sometimes sacrifice who we are, as we hide behind our mask of perfection.
“Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.” ~ Proverbs 31:31
In some way we are all a Proverbs 31 Woman. We get up early to make sure everyone gets breakfast. We are constantly on the go, shuttling the kids to school activities, church activities and extra-curricular activities. We usually work a 9 to 5 or own our own business. We wash dishes, do laundry and run to the grocery store more than we care to remember. We make sure everyone knows that they are loved at the end of the day, everyone except ourselves.
Throughout all of the busyness in our lives, sometimes we experience a disconnect from God, as we run around making sure that our lives appear perfect. But for some of us, being a Modern Proverbs 31 Woman comes with a price. We sometimes sacrifice who we are, as we hide behind our mask of perfection. We suffer internally with the pains of the past as we stand in the face of adversity, all while pouring into everyone else. We have everything at our disposal, yet we still feel confused and alone, Where is God in all of our busyness? Where is faith, love, hope and salvation?
With guidance from God, I developed the Modern Proverbs 31 Woman eWorkbook. It’s purpose is to bring women, like yourself, closer to God, to you to overcome some dark issues that have lead you into pretending that you are perfect, and the permission that you desire to not feel guilty when you pour into yourself after a long day of pouring into everyone else.
