Five Things to do TODAY to make you feel happier

When we go through change we often feel sad, tired or unhappy.
Here are my top 5 things to do TODAY to start changing the way you feel.
When we go through transitions or changes in our lives oftentimes we are sad, frustrated,
or just plain tired. We see the clouds but not the sunshine peeking out from behind them.
5. Surround yourself with uplifting music or programs.
Whatever you’re a fan of; Jazz, Classical, Rock n’Roll, even Disco. Pop it into your IPod and sing along if you feel like it. (PS- Christimas Music is perfect this time of year)
4. Take a walk and enjoy nature.
Exercise is always good for your mental health along with your physical well-being. And looking at the flowers, the fall foliage, or watching the squirrels scamper by has a calming effect.
3. Force yourself to smile. It will become a habit quicker than you think.
It’s a scientifically proven fact that when you smile you feel better.
2. Take a shower, put on nice clothes and shine your shoes.
Even if you don’t feel like getting dressed up it will make you feel better. Even if the only person that compliments you is the Gas Station Attendant you will feel better.
1. Start your morning with prayer.
Even if you are not in the habit of praying starting your day in prayer is a great way to feel better. Thank God for all the positive things in your life and then pray for those who have needs. Soon your own life will seem somehow easier.
