The Circle of My Life: An ongoing journey celebrating mentors, friendships and love that in large part began, survived and flourish today because of the Gifts & Lessons of ADHD/ADD that I own, learn from ‘mistakes’ and success, continue to develop, celebrate and advocate, as a life coach, to the world!
After years and years of pursuing other passions, learning valuable lessons from life’s challenges, “failing” many times, but always choosing to get back and never give up on myself and my dreams. I have NEVER forgotten the incredible life lessons I was taught by my mentor, hero and Saddle Seat Equitation Instructor extraordinaire, Mrs. Gwen Nix (mother of another amazing childhood friend, Jennifer Goslin).
A combination of those other passions took me to Cairo, Egypt in 2015 and later that combined with a long-overdue Skype reunion and facebook tribute to Mrs. Nix on our shared birthday, July 2nd.
Another awesome childhood Arabian horse friend, Paul C. Kostial, was the reason that I have now reconnected with a wonderful group of Arabian horse enthusiasts throughout my equestrian and equitation past and Arabian horse enthusiasts all over the globe.
Now, the Circle of Life has brought me around to a wonderfully connected tapestry of long-time and new friends, acquaintances, colleagues and passionate lovers of similar interests in living your dream, Arabian horses in the USA, Egypt and all over the world, developing the gifts of ADHD/ADD and my honor to life coach ADHD/ADD, the courageous celebrations of Olympic athletes, soccer, American college football, learning how to give and receive divine love, and building bridges of love throughout our diverse planet through travel, social media.
That divine-given desire to love, learn and connect the beautiful souls and hearts throughout my community, country and the world, that I was blessed with at birth, was nurtured from the beginning by my mother and deceased father, Lynne and Don Cook, my siblings, Laurie Cullimore, Todd Cook, Cami Burgon and Carrie Wagstaff, Mrs. Gwen Nix, and some incredible friends like Melissa Barter Bradley, Paul C. Kostial, Jennifer Goslin, whom I saw only a few times a year at horse shows, but whose influence still permeates my life today!
- My intent in this post, inspired by my reunion with my dear friend/sahbi Manal AlSuqi last night, is to honor the Circle of My Life that began at home, continued in practice and Arabian horse show arenas from Sandy, Utah to Houston, Texas and Scottsdale, Arizona to Louisville, Kentucky, and the tapestry has now, over the past two years, been woven from my month in Cairo facilitating leadership, emotional intelligence workshops, a live interview on Nile Culture TV regarding EQ/The Color Code and Egytian children, back to my first horse show as a 9 year-old, and when I first learned the origins of the Arabian horse in Egypt and the Middle East.
The Circle of My Life included countless more beautiful souls, with whom I have attempted to share candidly and frequently, my love and appreciation (friends and added family members and mostly, mi Angelito de Todo Cambio)!
