Why Fear is your Best Enemy

Fear is important in ones life from birth till death. This article provides its perception from a different point of view.
Handling fear is the most important factor for personal growth. Its mishandling can lead a person to disaster. Fear can be considered as the most important intuition a baby is born with. After leaving mother’s comfortable womb, the child feels helpless in the vast world he had just entered. His fear of world attaches him to his mother more and more. Equally important the feelings of love also originate almost simultaneously.
However as a child starts growing, his whole life starts taking place in accordance with the lines of fear. He is always told ‘don’t!’ don’t run, don’t stand, don’t smash… then in school it becomes don’t ever think about doing something, which the teacher does not agree with (in other words bracketing the free thought process). In job once again he has to follow rules in order not to loose his livelihood. By retirement now he has to agree with whatever the younger says to get their respect as he fears loosing their support at this tired age.
With all these negative outcomes we take fear as a negative element and consider it as a bitter enemy. Napoleon Hill the writer of a landmark book, ‘Think and Grow Rich’ also gave a lot of importance to fear. It is agreed that fear has been playing a vital role in the lives of most.
Those who did not fear the fear inked a non-removable mark in human history. Prophet Jesus (PBU) did not fear the death nor Prophet Muhammad (PBU) got afraid when he was alone facing whole nation. Among common beings we see many examples from near past, Steve Job (RIP) was not afraid of failures or mocking by giant brothers like IBM or Xerox. He overcame this fear and gave one of the most beautiful machines to the humans. Thanks Steve! Bill Gates equally deserves the praise and so does Grant Cardone who never fell victim to thought of being declared stubborn or insistent.
Fear is your best enemy. It can help you achieve all of your dreams. All you have to do is to channel it as per your need. If you are afraid of going jobless, improve your skills and market yourself. If you fear that people would hate you for some act then don’t commit it simply. If you are afraid of ill health then take care of your health. If you are afraid of poverty and financial suffering then work hard to accumulate money. If you are afraid of open seas then learn to swim.
