SuperHero Inside You
Posted on March 20, 2016 by Andrew C Warwick, One of Thousands of Entrepreneurship Coaches on Noomii.
A look into the characteristics which can make you the best version of yourself. Using your innate acute abilities to prosper in the world.
Harness Your Superlative Prowess, Your Inherent Moxie and Your Exclu-savvy
I want to talk to you for a little about the superhero inside you.
Yes it’s crazy. You have superpowers and you don’t even harness them.
How foolish of you.
It’s not your fault though and we can do something about it.
Sometimes people know about them and ignore them.
Some people don’t believe they have superpowers.
Others don’t see how to bring them to the forefront of their life mission.
But I know you will be awesome at this, you were born for this.
Now these are not exactly learned skills. We are talking about your Innate-Acute Abilities
These are core attitudes and when used correctly will show the world your superlative prowess or superpowers.
Now just so we have an example I will talk about myself because if I come right out and tell you about yourself; you will suspect I’ve been spying on you.
So for first example one superpower of mine is an almost delusional belief that I can do whatever I put my mind to, and then put forth massive ambition and do whatever it takes to make it happen.
It doesn’t always work out, but I fucking try. To start anything you need to be willing to look silly. To be mocked, disliked by some, all around kicked out of the heard sometimes.
To be an amateur is not a bad thing, people say it like a dirty word but it is to do for the love of, at its root.
We don’t all need to be Beethoven or Bird, most people don’t want that. But to do what we love for enjoyment is a wonderful part of life.
A three chord punk song in all its glory is all most of us are looking for.
When I want something I work at it. Nothing comes easy to me. I’m no Brainiac that would more be my brothers superpower, but he don’t utilize to his full potential
as he could, NBD; we all have a choice, to be or not to be. And we can also not push people into things. The catalyst must come from within. No matter how much we want to help someone onto the path.
All right friend here goes, we take hard work, a willingness to learn and we mix it with interests/passion and throw it together to make a powerful cocktail, but don’t end up with superlative prowess yet. So what’s missing?
Goals without a destination you are wasting your time. You need to have an objective. Sit down and take the time to do a perfect day exercise.
Close your eyes and imagine the perfect day. Then get out a clean piece of paper and your favourite pen and start writing down the exercise. Start with how you wake up. The feel of the bed the smell in the room, the taste of the fresh morning air. And then write out every single thing that happens throughout your day. Who’s with you, what your job is. How much money is in your bank. What you do for lunch and how delicious it is. Every detail and include as many of your senses in each piece of the day will help you find the intricacies of where you’re headed.
Now that you have an idea of what your perfect day looks like hopefully you have a clearer vision of what your dream life looks like. We can start putting together a map of how to get to back from where you would like to end up.
One thing that we will need is an income source and the best source of income is solving a problem that exist in your own life. That you can solve and charge for.
Lets take a moment to gaze into your personal environment and look around for problems that drive you crazy.
Stuff that really gets you going and pissed off.
Maybe something you call a pet peeve. Is there a group of people in your life that you could help easily, if only they would follow your proven system. At work maybe there is something that could easily be fixed and it’s obvious to you and yet the company doesn’t do anything about it. As long as it’s something that people would pay for, you are getting a clearer picture of how to set up a plan for business domination. Which is the vehicle to harnessing your super prowess.
Chasing our passions and following our dreams is also an option. But a lot of people want to do those exact same things, like be rockstars, photographers, whatever you put in for your passion, so you will have to work your ass off and use lots of creativity, but I think you can make anything happen, if you’re willing to focus on it and create interesting tie-ins in a b2b or goes well with a niche group that you’re into. Work hard and find a great team to work along with in your venture.
If we open our eyes and accept that there is opportunity all around us and accept our blindness up to this point, towards being blind there will be the answers you seek right in front of you.
Spend as much of your time learning new skills and following your passions as possible.
Find the time; its there, unless you are already a millionaire many times over you have the time for personal development.
Also I want to say that we will use Wyatt Woodsmall’ mindset shift as a baseline for the concept:
• Learning is change. If you don’t change, you didn’t learn anything.
Wait a minute we’re talking about punk, learning, change, mindset shifts, what does this have to do with finding your superlative prowess?
Exactly you are a smarty; that might be part of your inherent moxie, and with powers of deduction like that, along with your exclu-savvy; I feel honoured to have you with me on this journey through an article.
This is just normal life. I feel you but at some point there is going to be an overall point that is superpowers.
It’s not like patience is a quality you should ignore, just because you have superpowers. You gotta train that muscle because this is going to take time and complex ideas need a build up around each other to get the full effect.
Waiting is an essential part of our day. Do you skip to the end of every movie, no you watch the arc and we are in a story arc I tell you.
Ok now that I’ve interrupted my train of thought, having been lost in instruction;
I better find the point I was making and get to it or over it or go through it, depends.
That is a very fine point that I should make again, since we are on the subject of being on point.
Without having a direction and destination your innate acute abilities, will be wasted. You need a mission with a POWERFUL directive for your abilities to become super; know your WHY.
Sadly there are a lot of asides, derivatives or something like that kind of thing to get through in this piece.
To use more scientific terms: it’s like when you’re asking a wish from a genie or leprechaun; you have to be very specific about what you want or they will fuck you over every time. I’ve been there you can feel my pain.
Another problem that we run into with superpowers is the fact that plastic ambition and false dreams don’t allow us to have the power we were looking for or if what our mission is; if the mission is something that someone else wants us to be or do or think or act and not from our own soul and we are doing something someone else wants us to; we won’t get the superpower and though we may succeed, but it will be at the cost of our own salvation. I’m actually not totally familiar with the definition of that word, my brain likes to use them five dollar words. What I would say I was trying to say there, was underneath it all you might end up miserable and need to live a life of escapism to dull-ify or over stimulate or whatever, so you feel like everything is ok. I mean your happiness might not happen, but it’s only your life. Better luck next time.
We all have protective armour we wear to fit in to the crowd or to not fit in to that crowd. Or to act a certain way because our parents or friends wife, husband, dog walker think we should. We play a handful of roles for the sake of someone else’s plan for us or happiness.
But that’s lame to not do whats best for everyone. Don’t bother doing that anymore.
Self directed learning. Self directed change. Personal development. Evolution.
Do you have any marketable skills? I know it took me a long while to figure this out for myself.
Are you able to solve problems for people who are willing and able to pay you.
Can you find ways to get yourself in front of, or noticed by said people and sell them, your awesome amazing solution, that you truly believe in your hearts heart is the best product in the world for them to purchase.
It comes down to your character. What are some characteristics that drive your character. The you you that is under all the layers. I need you to pull your charismatic energy out and let it shine on through. SOULSHINE
Everyone has that character that only comes out when they feel completely safe and comfortable in their surroundings. Set and Setting. I would love to set up a safe space for you to transport to now. A comfortable space for you to be your charismatic true self.
Wow you look good. Strong relaxed, what a bright shining soul you have.
What are the strongest characteristics of this version of you?
Did you not beam yourself to your safe spot? You really should have, if you can’t be bothered you will never find your super prowess and your really just wasting my and everyone else’s time.
Once you’re there you will be free to see yourself in your best light, on your good side.
So again what are the strongest characteristics of this version of you. Write them out in your journal.
Right; so you have to get in touch with the real you and really get down to brass tacks, on what it means to be you. Without the cloth and padding ,what kind of a chair would you be?
You and your natural strengths mixed with your interests and passion for doing something, will be part of the equation for your innate acute abilities, but we need to distinguish the energy quotient in the potion.
If only I was a better wizard I would have this bottled and sold in gallon jugs of green elixir, but I’m not YET; so this is how it has to be.
I’m not the best with metaphors and am purposely making this seem a little jumbled to you; because the side of you that is watching this and taking it in and controlling your actions, needs things to be messy and chaotic, so it can place order and meaning into your understanding of the information; so don’t worry this will all make sense in a few days or something, just keep reading and allow things to sink in as something entertaining and educational. Edu-Tainment if you will.
You got this, I know you will.
Obviously technical skills might be required on your quest? But not necessarily key. If you are a people person who knows lots of talented people, your business might be putting the right people together and taking a percentage.
Honesty is essential to uncovering that which may elude you, about yourself and bringing this into the open. An allowance of vulnerability is very important, in the early stages but not essential later as you are invincible when you are in superhero mode. Just kidding you have to always stay vulnerable-ish. Also the fear that you might be making a huge mistake, will have less and less control over your actions as time passes. But stays pretty constant as a reminder to keep you hard at it.
So where are we. I’ve covered everything, right?
Did I mention looking for a need in the market? Honing your problem solving skills? The power in bold moves and taking action?
I think I did, but if they didn’t stand out as critical yet then, please know they are imperative to your success.
Having super powers means understanding your surroundings. Not the room around you, as much as the emotions you choose to act upon. Understanding your circle of influence and not wasting time trying to influence what you can’t control or getting mad about things that don’t involve you. It’s not taking the little emotional payoffs of feeling sorry for yourself and getting hurt every time someone doesn’t go along with your expectations. It’s losing the expectations and taking action for you. Its naming and understanding the root motivations, driving you and the daemons that drive you to continually sabotage yourself.
It’s not the lions den that you need to worry about. It’s the siren call, the seductress in your head that thrives on sadness, or takes everything personal. The side of you who is afraid of the dark. Scared of its shadow or needs to control and manipulate. Our out loud selves that are driven to drink, fuck, be entertained and waited on, and need outside validation and approval. Because deep down at the bottom of the rabbit hole, at the end of the day, we don’t believe we’re good enough and we take every tiny little part to heart; believing it and fighting it simultaneously. This battle burns a hole in your soul and derails our progress. That which destroys your confidence must be mastered through positive innercise. The side of you that is jealous of so and so needs to be reigned in. If you tear people down to build yourself up on the pride of your position against this or against that, you are fighting a losing battle. A wish and a wash away from the truth that you don’t even know why you do it, because you haven’t taken the time to look inside for the issue that’s causing you to react in the way in which you choose to. The blame is always placed outside your control and then in the dark, as you try to sleep you may get glimpses of truth, you wash down with poison pills or lashing out to protect your position or dishonesty to your true higher self. Having true superpowers means taking complete responsibility for your actions and future. Understanding your emotions and drives. Being the complete best version of your honest self. You have superpowers and this article is a call out for you to become the best superhero you can be. To evolve past where you’re at now, by following your own distinctive path. To live an amazing life, believing its possible and staying true to yourself.
I can’t really say much more then that, for now. Not sure if its really true completely for everyone, I would love for it to be though. I wrote it for myself mostly, as a reminder and a guide to keep on the path and work for it a little every single day.
Graze on it lightly or dismiss it as chatter, for now. The parts that needed to be said are out there for you to ponder. Please feel free to write me with any questions you may have. Or to tell me about glaring spelling or really even just to say HI thank me or hate me, as they’re the same to me.
Be well; till next time.
From this side of the keys.
Sincerely
Andy
