Have you ever been driving somewhere, made it to your destination, and had absolutely no idea how you got there? How often does that happen to your entire day? You may sit down at the end of a day and wonder what the happened all day! So many of us go through each day without paying attention to what is happening around us, and for that matter, to us.
Maybe this sounds like you:
Living on auto pilot…
Unsatisfied with daily accomplishments…
Buried by all of the demands…
Waiting to exhale…
Transform your day by following these 3 simple steps:
1. STOP: Find something special that you can carry with you or wear, everyday. Maybe it’s a piece of jewelry, a special stone or picture. Whatever it is, it means something special to you. Every time you take notice of this object, trigger your mind to stop.
2. BREATHE: The next step after you stop is to take a breath. Not just any breath, but a breath that starts at the bottom of your lungs and extends through the top. Breathe in with your whole body. Maybe closing your eyes (unless of course you are driving). Then exhale, just letting the breath fall.
3. NOTICE: After your breath falls, take notice of your surroundings. Notice where you are, and take in all of the sounds, smells, and energies surrounding you. Take a full minute or two to notice.
It may not sound like much, however, the benefits these 3 steps will have on you, will be trans-formative. No one can take control of your day, or you life, but you! Go ahead try them out and get your life off of auto-pilot.
