By following these simple strategies, you can immediately change your life to produce more time and more happiness.
Life is hectic.
We all know and experience it everyday. We live in such a fast paced society that it is no wonder that we are overwhelmed and stressed.
You can reclaim your sanity and restore the balance in your life immediately by following these 3 simple strategies.
1. Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude!
If you believe that you have nothing to be grateful for in your life, think of this: The fact that you woke up this morning and able to live another day is a celebration in itself.
Develop the habit each and everyday by taking a mental inventory of the things and people you are grateful for. If you feel that this will be a challenge for you, start with the obvious- the roof over our head, your loving partner or spouse or even your pet that greets you each time you come home.
You will find that by developing an attitude of gratitude, you will become happier and develop a positive attitude towards everything.
2. Serve Others with no Expectations.
Everyone is familiar with the saying “It’s better to give than receive.” By applying it daily, it will dramatically improve your life as it puts others’ needs before yours.
There is no greater joy than brightening someone’s day. It can be as simple as saying “Hello” to someone, smiling to a stranger to writing a thank you note to someone who has had a positive impact on your life. By doing something for someone with no expectations in return, the happiness that you brought to them and the satisfaction you experienced doing it will encourage you to do more for others.
Some other ideas include:
Volunteering
Spending time with your parents
Donating to a charitable cause
The list is endless. By serving others, the positive ramifications on your attitude and life will be dramatic!
3. Carve out Time for Yourself.
Every day has 24 hours. Sometimes that may not seem like enough time even for ourselves, let alone the tasks that need to get done.
The solution for this challenge?
Make time! If you have to schedule it in then do so! Even it is 30 minutes per day or week, take the time to do something you will enjoy! Turn off your phone and put yourself in a quiet location in order to regain your focus.
Revisit a hobby that you have put aside.
Start a new hobby!
Start that book you’ve always dreamed of.
Only you can decide what will make you happy. Whatever it is, take the time to do something for YOU! You will find that you will de-stress and reconnect with yourself in ways that perhaps you’ve forgotten.
By being grateful, serving others and carving out time for yourself, you will find that your mood, attitude and your outlook on life will dramatically improve.
What are you waiting for? The happier, more positive you is waiting for you!
