HAPPY! Happy. happy?

What does happiness look like for you? Are you truly happy?
“Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.” ~Helen Keller
Do you have to be jump up-and-down, ecstatically happy 24X7 to consider yourself to be truly happy?
Absolutely NOT!
Happiness, like people, comes in all shapes and sizes in how we recognize it throughout the day (or week or month), but I believe that true happiness is more of a state of being, rather than a feeling we experience intermittently.
I believe that when we know who we really are and when we allow ourselves to ‘be that’ in the world, we know a happiness. It doesn’t mean we walk around smiling all day long, or that we can’t be bitchy from time to time, or that we try to turn ourselves into a pretzel trying to be the ‘perfect, happy person’.
It is simply an essence of peace that glows brighter with experiences, people and moments that trigger a ‘happiness’ within us.
In other words. we can be happy all the time, with moments of happier that happen to us all the time.
Enjoying the Journey! ~Trish
