During a session today, we came across not only the shadow of a doubt, but proof that DOUBT itself was creating the choices for my client. Each choice made was influenced by doubt: “This could work, although if this doesn’t happen first, then it won’t.” Doubt – the decision killer, or our friend?
Incredibly so, the main reason we may allow doubt to take control, is out of self-love. It keeps us from making mistakes, being vulnerable, and getting hurt. If we do not take risks then we are safe.
So, yes! Doubt is our friend. Pretty strange new idea, right? What if, we took a minute to acknowledge all the doubts we have about our choices? A minute to view doubt from a place of safety where we are not deciding or acting, but we only feel instead how real the doubt really is around each choice. Then we can make changes according to how real the doubt is, thanking doubt for ensuring our success!
How does taking a moment to become friends with your doubts might empower your choices?
