Recently, a few people have asked me what this Passion Test I have been referring to is all about.
It’s really about discovering how your passions can help you gain clarity and move forward and achieve more success.
All successful people have one thing in common, and Janet and Chris Attwood, sum it up very well: “All successful people have passion and have learned to make decisions based on what really matters to them. Even when others tell them they’re crazy or declare that a goal is impossible, they follow their hearts—their passions.”clarity-in-life
When we are passionate about something, we are engaged and take inspired actions toward our goals.
A recent Gallup Study on Engagement. The study showed that almost 70% of U.S. employees are not engaged, despite company gains in 2014. Gallup defines engagement as; “being enthusiastic about and committed to their work and workplace”.
Many people wake up every morning dragging themselves out of bed, dreading going to work and various aspects of their day, wishing for something different and better. Wishing without being really sure of what it is they want or how to get it.
That is what the Passion Test is all about – helping others discover their passion in life and learning how it can help them define their purpose and prioritize what actions to take in order to be in alignment with their passion.
We all have a wide range of unique gifts and ways how we want to express ourselves. However, too often, we do not allow our gifts to shine – do not spend time in areas that are important to us. We worry about what other people would say. We think we cannot afford the time and money to do what is significant to us and what truly matters. Day after day, doing something that is not aligned with our purpose, makes us unhappy and unwell. People even get sick by living a life that is not aligned with their purpose and passions.
“You will never feel truly passionate about something you do not have the ability to create in your life.” ~ Chris and Janet Attwood
Once we are clear on what we want and what’s important to us, we take inspired actions toward our goal. We are in flow. We are aligned, we are in sync.
So, for those wondering what I am talking about when I refer to your Passions and the Passion Test… it is about gaining this clarity.
Clarity that will allow you to make decisions based on your passions and priorities and to advance effortlessly on your chosen path. With this renewed focus, you are giving the attention to what YOU want. I firmly believe that whatever we focus on grows and blossoms. But you need to determine what IT is to put that focus on.
