Are you searching for a job or a career?
Have you ever heard someone say, “I’m trying to find a job, but I just can’t seem to get hired”? I bet you have. Do you recognize the flaws in that statement? If not, here they are… There’s a difference between trying and landing. There’s a difference between a job and fulfilling career. You may argue it’s just semantics, but there’s energy behind every word. There’s great power behind the stories you choose to tell.
Here’s the simple truth. The universe must return exactly what you throw at it. If you describe a struggle, you will get a struggle. If you fail to specify what kind of job you desire, you will land something just as ambiguous. So what’s the solution? You must write an all empowering, very specific story to obtain an energized specific result. If you want something specific, you must be specific. Take a look at the difference between these two statements.
Disempowering Story
“I’m trying to find a job, but I just can’t seem to get hired”Empowered Story
“I have a great track history in business. I have developed a personal marketing and outreach plan in order to land my dream job. I can’t wait to step into an environment where I can grow, feel valued, and one which fulfills my purpose in life.”
That ladies and gentleman is the difference between dark and light. One is dismal and the other makes you want to sign on the dotted line immediately! It’s a total energy reconstruction. It’s one which is sure to land you your dream job.
