Is the Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

There are 2 types of people - those who view the glass half full and those who view the glass half empty. Which type are you?
Throughout my 15+ years experience being an HR Leader, Psychologist and Coach in some of the world’s best companies, I have come across 2 types of people as it relates to outlook on life. Those who are positive and expect the best which I classify as those who see the glass half full and those who expect for the worst and I consider viewing the glass half empty.
These 2 outlooks matter because whatever thoughts and words we believe in affect who we are as people and what to expect in our daily lives. Let’s take 2 examples, the first being viewing the glass half full, or having a positive outlook. If you wake up well-rested, happy and excited about your day, you will plan for the best and expect great things. Furthermore, if you tell yourself that you are satisfied with life and give thanks for the little things (ie: the air we breathe, the shelter you have) then you will have a feeling of gratefulness and attract more of that. On the contrary, if you view the glass half empty or have a negative outlook you will also create more of that negativity for yourself. For example, if you wake up in the morning, are tired, went to bed late and may be wishing to sleep more, have a different job or wish you were not in your situation, unfortunately you will not feel good and therefore attract more of that negativity with your mindset.
The most successful people have a positive outlook and find a way to get things done. It is not a matter of is it possible, but more so how is it possible. I challenge you to have a positive mindset and have feelings of gratefulness, happiness and love for your self and others.
